Remember back in the day when overrated was reportedly on hold by Faith Hill (for Illusion). I know it might sound like a tall dream but I still want to hear Faith's studio version...

Thanks for the great rankdown ClevelandRox! Looking forward to the Let It Go rankdown and seeing Nothin' To Die For take it's rightful place at the top ;)

I was rooting for “Meanwhile....”, but “Shotgun Rider” is really good too. This was a great top 5.
And I would love to hear Faith’s version of “Overrated” too. Maybe one day the whole album will leak.

The Let It Go album will be fascinating because, despite having seven singles, none of them really stand out as obvious winners. All of them are going to have haters to balance out the lovers. Specifically I could see "I Need You", "If You're Reading This", "Let It Go", and "Nothin' To Die For" all doing well, but cannot really imagine any of them being able to make consistent headway over each other to where one of them would be an obvious winner. One of them will probably win of course, but I feel like the placement of those bigger singles will come down to whichever one is lucky enough to be ahead whenever the final list comes in. A well-loved album track like "Between The River And Me" could definitely do some damage, maybe even all the way up to like the top 2!

I'm wondering if an album track can claim the#1 and possibly the #2 position? I know there are some big fans of certain songs...

A perfect top 5 for this album! Still one of his best albums and the album tracks are killer. Would've preferred a different order for the top 5 but I was happy with any of my top 7 winning so I'll take it haha
For 'Let It Go' I'm hoping some album tracks can pull ahead of at least half the singles.

Kind of surprised and disappointed to see "Diamond Rings and Old Barstools" come so close to the top 2 but miss out. It's easily my favorite Tim song of the past decade, and might be my favorite post-2000 song of his. I love all of the top 4 songs, but I feel like Diamond Rings would've fared much better in the Revenge rankdown than Mama's will.
Let It Go should be fascinating. So many songs that figure to be polarizing, excited to see how it plays out. I know my #1 will be an album cut...

I’ll never understand how 7 singles were released and “Train #10” and “Between The River And Me” remain album tracks.

I haven’t submitted yet because I still can’t decide on the order of my top 2, lol.

I’ll never understand how 7 singles were released and “Train #10” and “Between The River And Me” remain album tracks. Tim wanted to name the album ‘Train #10’ to coincide with his 10th total album...then Curb released a second Greatest Hits and that really made him mad lol. He also wanted “Train #10” as a lead single but that went out the window. “Suspicions” was a favorite of Tim’s, while Mike Curb loved “Kristofferson.” Pretty certain that’s why those were singles (“Suspicions” might be the worse single choice of the 2000s). As for “Between the River and Me,” I think they simply didn’t want to take the risk of a song that is basically about a brutal murder as a radio single, even though I think it would’ve worked. I’m bummed that or “Train #10” weren’t singles as well — but this album was very strong.

Just submitted. Really solid album, top 10+ songs are really quite good. Only one song IMO that totally blew.
The only thing that burns me about this album is that it killed You Had to be There as a single since they kept releasing single after single instead of releasing the next album. I remember when Curb released Nothin' To Die For as single number seven. It was like "really?" And somehow no River. no Train. no Whiskey.

For an album that would not die, I'm thinking that this had the truly worst Tim McGraw album cover. Post-mullet that is. WTF were they thinking, couldn't the dude afford more than a county fair hat? And for whatever reason whenever I see this album cover the tones of the album make me think he has been bit and is one of the walking dead....
