Working on it this weekend. If all goes smoothly, I should be able to submit tonight. Next in line is Freight Train, Tracy Lawrence, and, of course, 1990.

Pre-reveal questions:
1. What will be #1? “If You’re Reading This”
2. What will be last place (#14)? “Suspicions”
3. What will be most polarizing? Least? MOST: “Between The River and Me” (I could see people being really turned off by the lyrics and ranking this low - or really enjoying the story and ranking it high. Not sure where it will land in the end but I do think it’ll be the most polarizing), LEAST: “If You’re Reading This (I could see this being in everyone’s top 5/6).
4. What will be the 3 highest placing album tracks? “Train #10”, “Whiskey and You”, and “Shotgun Rider”
5. What will be the 3 lowest placing singles? “Suspicions”, “Nothin’ To Die For”, and “Last Dollar (Fly Away)” (I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that some people find LD (FA) annoying even though I absolutely love it and it has always been one of my favorite Tim songs.
6. Any other thoughts/comments? 7 singles from one album....dang that is a LOT! It is especially strange because I only think of one (maybe 2) of these singles to be iconic Tim hits. “If You’re Reading This” is one, and “I Need You” is the only other real iconic one to me and that is just because it is a duet with Faith and people seem to really like those ones! As for the album tracks - I thought this list of songs was super strong. I think “Whiskey and You” would’ve been a fantastic single choice. I don’t exactly remember which year Tim got sober but if it was around that time then maybe Tim/his team didn’t want a song about drinking out at the time...it puzzles me since I think that is a pretty solid country song!! “Train #10” could’ve been a solid single too and something that would’ve been a very easy hit!

1. What will be #1? That is hard to guess considering how many singles there were... Many on Pulse have professed their love over the years for "Between The River and Me” and “Train #10”, but will that be enough? Tim and Faith have their fans but there are a couple cringy lines in "I Need You" about a needle needing a vein. I think Stapleton has the market on "Whiskey and You". I'm going to have to say “If You’re Reading This”
2. What will be last place (#14)? It really should be "Put Your Lovin' On Me", but no one does Eddie Rabbit wrong, so it's "Suspicious"
3. What will be most polarizing? Least? Most: "Last Dollar" Hell, it could be most any single Least: "Suspicious" with "Kristofferson" a close second
4. What will be the 3 highest placing album tracks? “Train #10”, “Whiskey and You”, “Between The River and Me”
5. What will be the 3 lowest placing singles? "Suspicious", "Kristofferson" and "Last Dollar (Fly Away)". I do like "Last Dollar" for the record.
6. Any other thoughts/comments? There are some really good songs on this album, many of them not chosen to be a single. I hate that this album and the insane number of singles killed "You Had to Be There" ever being released as a single from the next album as it sat collecting dust. I know it won that album's rankdown, but that is my favorite Tim song of all time so I will never get over it. Likewise, and I'm eagerly awaiting the "extra's rankdown, but how they didn't release "I've Got Friends That Do"?!? Don't get me started on what is probably my #2 or #3 Tim song. Back to this album, I think this rankdown is going to feel like a bit of a shitshow with everyone liking their own of the seven singles. I do wonder if we could get a top two that aren't singles??

Pre-reveal questions:
1. What will be #1?
”If You’re Reading This”, but I know “I Need You” is a Pulse favorite. “Train #10 should also place in the top 3-4.
2. What will be last place (#14)?
”Suspicions” lol
3. What will be most polarizing? Least?
Most: “Last Dollar (Fly Away)” Least: “If You’re Reading This”
4. What will be the 3 highest placing album tracks?
“Train #10” ”Between the River and Me” ”Shotgun Rider” (maybe “Whiskey and You”)
5. What will be the 3 lowest placing singles?
“Suspicions” ”Let It Go” ”Kristofferson” (I love the song, though)
6. Any other thoughts/comments?
”Train #10” not being a single still hurts Tim to this day; he also would’ve liked “Between the River and Me” released. I’ve mentioned it before here, but Tim had ideas for “Train #10” to be the title of the album and for it to be a lead single. Then Curb released his second Greatest Hits and I believe that was the moment the relationship with Tim and Curb never got back on good terms.
I think this is a very strong album — the only song I dislike is “Suspicions,” and it’s the worst single choice I’ve ever seen lol. Tim loved it, maybe that’s why. I know Mike Curb loved “Kristofferson,” which is probably why that was released but that was also a weird single choice.
“Let It Go” and “Nothin’ to Die For” I have less of a problem with being singles, but by then after two underperforming releases, they should’ve moved on. The next album was ready, since Tim performed a few tracks on the 2008 tour with Aldean. Just a massively mismanaged album, but the material was strong. “Train #10” and “Between the River and Me” are two of my favorite Tim songs ever.

1. What will be #1? Train #10.
2. What will be last place (#14)? Suspicions.
3. What will be most polarizing? Least? Most polarizing: Last Dollar (Fly Away) Least polarizing: Train #10
4. What will be the 3 highest placing album tracks? Train #10 Between the River and Me Shotgun Rider
5. What will be the 3 lowest placing singles? Suspicions Kristofferson Last Dollar (Fly Away)
6. Any other thoughts/comments? It's a solid album but I still don't see why he is highly rated here or in general.

To this day I still cannot believe that they released 7 singles from this album and still somehow managed not to release any of "Between the River and Me", "Train #10", "Shotgun Rider" or "Whiskey and You". I swear this has to be one of the most poorly managed albums in country music history. Also, I absolutely love "If You're Reading This" and the live version is great but I really wish he would have recorded a studio version as well.

1. What will be #1?
I'll probably be alone in hoping that "If You're Reading This" is not #1 but it wouldn't surprise me to see it end up being #1. I could see "I Need You", "Between The River and You", and "Whiskey and You" all contending
2. What will be last place (#14)?
"Suspicions" please!
3. What will be most polarizing? Least?
MOST: "Last Dollar (Fly Away)" LEAST: "If You're Reading This"
4. What will be the 3 highest placing album tracks?
"Between The River and Me" "Whiskey and You" "Shotgun Rider"
5. What will be the 3 lowest placing singles?
"Suspicions" "Kristofferson" "Last Dollar (Fly Away)"
6. Any other thoughts/comments?
I absolutely love this album and can even enjoy my #14 song when listening to it so I definitely think this is one of Tim's stronger albums. Singles wise though its a mess. 7 singles and the best songs are left as album tracks, WHAT?
"Between The River and Me" is an interesting song because I loved this song before I heard Tim's version. I'll always prefer The Warren Brothers original but Tim does a great job with the song, even if he is missing the grit in his voice that the Warren Brothers have that make me love theirs. I'd love to see this song be an upset win here!

I'm probably the only one rooting for the title track 😂 "I Need You" and "If You're Reading This" may be the enduring hits on this album, but they were both sooooooo overplayed that I still feel like skipping them most of the time... I still expect one of them to win, but I would be THRILLED if "Let It Go", "Nothin' To Die For", or hell even "Last Dollar" were to sneak ahead of them for a victory, lmao. I still use those songs way more to this day than INY and IYRT.
Also I'd like to throw some love in the direction of "I'm Workin'"! That one was one of my favorites among the album tracks! Although based on the responses here I'm just hoping it will make the album tracks rankdown....
And yeah, it will be fascinating to see how these 7 singles and 7 album tracks stack up against each other! I do feel like there will be at least two album tracks in the top 5, but I'm not quite sure they'll be able to win or even sneak into the top 3. The best singles here aren't as beatable as the ones from Southern Voice, imo.

You guys did it! The last place contender for most of the rankdown almost missed it's last place fate the last couple of lists, but the last list pushed it back to last place by two points! 5 last places are lost but fearlessarrow loses a top five. :( I have no connection to the original of this and have just never liked it. :/ Unless Way Down counts, it's definitely my least favorite single of his career.

Missing last place by two points, but our first of only two album tracks to miss the album tracks rankdown is Put Your Lovin' On Me. I've honestly never minded this song? 😂 But the concensus was definitely that it's a lower tier track with all but four putting it in their bottom five. Five lost their last place and four got perfect rankings!

Guess only I love the minor key in Put Your Lovin' On Me then. There are much worse songs in this album...

Coming in 12th place and the last album track to miss the album tracks rankdown is Comin' Home! countrymusicjunkie nailed my hint of a boat going through Tim's home state of Louisiana. Ofcourse I was trying to throw everyone off into thinking Between The River and Me with it being a picture of the Mississippi River, didn't happen. 😂 I love the beginning of this song and always think I like it more than I do, but then always find the chorus underwhelming. NO last places are lost! We have plenty more of those coming up. 😬

Missing the top ten is the paramedic anthem, I'm Workin'! I don't want to be too mean about this song since it did get some high ranks, but... I f***ing hate it. 😂 Probably right behind It's Your World from Two Lanes of Freedom as my least favorite from Tim. It would take a lot for a song to get a last place ranking from me over Suspicions. I can see how some people could really like it though. Me and tim lose our last place while Kanenrá:ke, bboat11 and gonecountry lose a top five. :(

"I'm Workin'" is such a bore and I can't believe it found itself outside of the bottom 3. I just can't get into this song and personally I think Tim sounds quite rough.

14. Suspicions
I have no connection to the original of this and have just never liked it. :/ Unless Way Down counts, it's definitely my least favorite single of his career. I wanted to come around to this one before we got any further because I have to agree with this. I consider myself an Eddie Rabbitt fan, but outside of his signature hits I've never actually dived into his full discography much (his album Jersey Boy being the lone exception). That said, I have no issue with Tim wanting to cover this song but to release it as a single? That just never made much sense to me and considering this album was already a bit bloated I easily could've done without it.

Because if Lori McKenna recorded this it would be much better Some of my fellow Tractors would disagree of course, but yea Lori would sound so much better on this. Given that Tim was really pushing Lori at this time, I can understand why he recorded this song for the album.
