We lose the last of our album tracks in third place, leaving the top two to be what I'm sure everyone predicted, Humble and Kind and How I'll Always Be. I second boat in pre-reveals that I wish one of these last album tracks like California, Love Runs or Don't Make Me Feel At Home at got a sneak in to the top two. My memory isn't serving me as good as Train #10/Blank Sheer of Paper, does anyone remember if this was the original first single? Or it just had a lot of single talk speculation thru the era? It was definitely my favorite song when the album came out and B&R actually didn't ruin it! I won't lie, B&R releasing it as a single right after this era ended has kind of tarnished a little of the love I had for the song (still great though). Humble and Kind vs How I'll Always Be THE SHOCK!

Ugh, literally the only excuse for "How I'll Always Be" to be this high is single bias. "California", "Love Runs", "Don't Make Me Feel At Home", and "Here Tonight" could all make substantial arguments as to why they deserved that #2 spot, and they would have all made better radio singles as well.
And that's coming from someone who loves "How I'll Always Be"!!
I mentioned in the predictions that it was going to be a shame that "Humble And Kind" won this whole thing, not because it was undeserving, but just because it was SOOOOOOO glaringly obvious on an album that is filled with songs that also deserved to compete for the win!!! Plus to me this one doesn't really sound like it belongs on this album. But I have come to love this one substantially less over time after how much overplay it received. It is definitely still suffering from reverse recency bias for me, because while songs like "Live Like You Were Dying" have had time to re-grow on me, this one has not had that luxury yet. Still, it is without a doubt a deserving winner!!!
These album tracks will be waaaaaay more fun to watch in the album tracks rd than they were in this album rd, lol.

Twenty points separated the top two in the end, they held down both spots the entire submission process. SIX participants put the winner as their #1, congrats! 🥳 Definitely a deserving winner and such a great song! I feel like Humble and Kind would be extremely humble and kind during it's winning speech. 😌 "Awe shucks, I'm not even the best song on this album. This one's for you, Don't Make Me Feel at Home! 🏆" 😂 Random but when bboat11 made a comment about one of the songs on Let It Go having useless lyrics, my first thought was ROOTBEER POPSICLE and was like welp, guess Humble and Kind won't be in his top 5 in the next rankdown? And it wasn't. 😂 Thanks to everyone who participated and followed along, we're down to only three albums left before finishing off the album series with Here on Earth! A Place in The Sun Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors Emotional TrafficWhich one is next? I'll reveal in the coming days!

The top 3 played out about just as I thought it might with "California" being the song I'd move up into my own top 5. I think this would've made for a great single, although at least for me it would've been one of the last to be released. I'm glad that "How I'll Always Be" did manage to make it into the top 2 because it's not only been a favorite of mine since I first heard it, but I've actually only come to appreciate it even more over time. I don't necessarily buy into the single bias argument as to why it made it this high, but I'm sure it didn't hurt either. This was such a breath of fresh air to hear on country radio back in 2016, although I do wonder if it'll be remembered as one of Tim's more forgotten hits as time passes. Regardless of how predictable the outcome might have been, "Humble and Kind" is the correct winner here and will always be looked back upon as one of Tim's signature hits. I would've been disappointed to see anything but that win honestly. Thanks again ClevelandRox and I'm looking forward to whatever is next!

Great album, there is some highly divisive stuff on this album. I think we may have some good competition for largest standard deviation between at least three songs.

Just submitted. Tim had the Sing Me Home special on NBC when this album came out if I remember correctly. I'm not going to lie as much as I despise the Tiny Dancer remake, I really enjoy his cover of Just When I Needed Most.

This is due tomorrow, but I've been resting since I've been back/catching up on a few other rankdowns myself/slacked on reminders, so I'm extending this to Sunday, August 19th for anyone that needs a little time! August 19th is going to be a Friday.

I always loved how Real Good Man morphed into The Ride. With all the crap Curb has released by Tim, I'm surprised this never made a CD somewhere.

1. What will be #1? I am not super positive on this one... Normally I'd say Real Good Man (a JAM), but perhaps Watch the Wind Blow By?
2. What will be #15? Sing Me Home? All We Ever Find?
3. What will be most polarizing? Least? M- She's My Kind of Rain L - Wind
4. Which singles (Red Ragtop, She's My Kind of Rain, Real Good Man, Watch the Wind Blow By) will do best? Worst? Best- Wind Worst - Rain
5. What will be the highest placing album tracks? That's Why God Made Mexico
6. Which will go farther, Home or Sing Me Home? Home, for sure
7. Any other thoughts/comments? I revisit this album a lot. That said, I think there are those who have strong dislike for 3 of the 4 singles for various reasons.

2. What will be #15? Sing Me Home? If "Sing Me Home" leaves first you might as well just cancel this entire album rankdown. I will not stand for this blasphemy!
