Personally, I think he should have named it Tootsie Slide. Tootsie is more fun to say than Toosie. he named the song after the dancer that created it! GQ: How’d you get the nickname Toosie?
Toosie: That’s a childhood nickname. I got it from my best friend’s dad. He thought I was African, and there’s a tribe in Africa called the Watusi tribe, so every time he saw me, he’d call me “Watusi.” He was trying to be funny, and then my best friend started calling me that in school. The “Wa” dropped off, and Toosie stuck.Oh, I know. I'm just saying that Tootsie rolls off my tongue a lot better than Toosie does. Don't know why.

So drake will most likely debut at #1. His 3rd debut at the top and his 7th overall
Also for no reason at all, i feel like there’s 4 different types of drake:
1. 2007-2008 Drake 2. 2009-2015 Drake 3. 2016-2017 Drake 4. 2018-Present Drake
Each Drake is different and you can easily tell the era’s. Now do you guys just dislike drake in general or just one (or two) of these era’s?

Well, if anything, congratulations to Drake on achieving his 7th Hot 100 #1.
“Male Artists w/ the Most Hot 100 #1’s since 2000 (5 or more)”.
• Usher: 9 • Bruno Mars: 7 • Drake: 6 • Eminem: 5
“Male Artists w/ the Most Hot 100 #1’s in general (5 or more)”.
• The Beatles: 20 • Elvis Presley: 17 • Michael Jackson: 13 • Stevie Wonder: 10 • Rolling Stones: 9 • Bee Gees: 9 • Usher: 9 • Elton John: 9 • Paul McCartney: 9 • George Michael: 8 • Bruno Mars: 7 • Drake: 6 • Prince: 5 • Boyz II Men: 5 • Eminem: 5
It’s possible that he’ll have tied or surpassed Usher/Stevie Wonder by 2025/2026 onward.

With a couple more #1s from this upcoming effort, which he’s already touted to be more tight (12-16 trks) he’ll already be with Usher before 2021. Crazy success.

So, between this current standalone song and his next album/era (unless this song is a part of the album/era), he’s scoring another 3 #1’s? We shall see.

• Elvis Presley: 17 • Rolling Stones: 9 • Paul McCartney: 8 • George Michael: 7 How you get 8 #1s for McCartney? Billboard gives him 9, by considering all 5 or 6 songs with Wings as his own. I say 5 or 6 cos "Coming Up" is debatable as a Wings song. Elvis doesn't have 17 #1s on the Hot 100, just on Billboard in general. On the Hot 100 he had 7. Also I give him 18 #1s, but that's me. George Michael has 8 #1s, including "Careless Whisper", which was released as a solo song everywhere in the world but as "Wham! featuring George Michael" in the US. Still, it's a credit. The Stones had 8. Missing from your list: Eagles, 4 Seasons and KC & The Sunshine Band, 5 each, plus Hall & Oates with 6.

I got McCartney’s amount wrong. Thanks! BB says Presley has 17 #1’s, be it pre- and/or post-. That’s what I used. I completely forgot that “CW” was credited as ‘Wham ft...’.

Bit awkward, but I edited my comment to include some other stuff. Sorry.

Calm down, this song is not debuting number 1 Seriously? I thought it was? Drake will still score 7 #1’s regardless.

That whole 2009-2015 era of Drake was the best version of Drake back when he cared about making good music.

Calm down, this song is not debuting number 1 I wouldn’t rule it out, but yeah. Maybe like a 50/50 chance- Streaming (especially Youtube) is weak, and he isn’t selling single bundles like Heartless or Highest In The Room afaik

Im still mad Travis's goofy self didn't credit him on Sicko Mode. Especially considering Drake was like 80% it was as big as it was and it's technically his biggest hit chart wise. (and would've given him another #1 officially)

Why do Drake stans think he’s the entire reason songs he feature on get big? omg @drakeisskinny the disrespect! There are a number of artists and situations where they collaborate with Drake, and it becomes their biggest hit. Remember how God's Plan was accompanied by two top five hits with unknown acts as the lead? Is he the entire reason? No, but he does bring an audience with him.

Why do Drake stans think he’s the entire reason songs he feature on get big? Because he's given unknown acts top 10 hits several times and he's given several other artists the biggest hits of their careers.

Drake gave Lil Baby, BlocBoy JB and Bad Bunny their first top 10 hits as lead artists in 2018. He gave A$AP Rocky, Meek Mill and Rick Ross the biggest hits of their careers. Gave Gucci Mane the first and second Platinum hits of his career. Gave DJ Khaled his first top 10 hit. Gave Travis Scott his first top 10 hit in 2017 and his first #1 hit in 2018. Gave PARTYNEXTDOOR and ILoveMakonnen the biggest hits of their careers. I could go on and on.

2011-2015 was peak drake imo. Take Care, NWTS, IYRTITL all classics I like to add in 2009/2010 just off the strength of So Far Gone and it being a classic mixtape. Thank Me Later wasn't a solid debut, but it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be and overall, it was another solid year for Drake features, so 2009-2015 were probably his best years creatively.

Among the few people Drake hasn't particularly helped has been French Montana, but in all fairness that is a difficult trick to pull off.

I don't think his attempts with PND, Swae Lee and Lil Yachty succeeded remarkably well, although Lil Yachty wouldn't even had touched the Hot 100 without him I'd say so there's that.
