Unforgettable belongs to Swae Lee, I don't care what people say.

Unforgettable Was Swae's song but French bought it from him(or at least what I heard I might be wrong).

Love how this has just turned into a French Montana bashing session, and I love it.

"Unforgettable" clearly was a hit thanks to the Mariah Carey remix. Move on losers.

Swae Lee is probably bigger than French lol His Post collab didn't need to use bought streams If you count Sicko Mode he has 3 #1s lmao
Also Love Again could be a Top 20 hit at best I think (at least in the US), I love it though I just don't how well it would perform on radio

random topic but damn.. Old Town Road. it seems like yesterday I was scrolling through a Pulse Hot 100 thread and this new “country rap” hybrid was climbing the Apple Music charts all of a sudden. I really thought nothing of it even after it started charting. Little did we know what was coming at the time.

Swae Lee can sing/rap a hook on a song extremely well. I'd argue that his part on Sunflower is better then Post's. As for Unforgettable that song was clearly a hit because of Swae. I hardly class French Montana as a rapper, to me he is in DJ Khalad territory where he just says the same few words over. French Montana just happens to say a few more and chucks in a couple of the most useless, lazy and probably ghost written verses if you are lucky.

When Old Town Road hit #1 last year that thread was a mess and it became a bigger one when it passed 16 weeks(at least mariah had the longest running weeks at #1 during that time too bad it couldn't be longer but records are meant to be broken😢)

We compare the current threads to the Old Town Road threads it is not so bad. I miss those days "mess" had a different definition last year than now. Last year we would not be on page 15 a full week before the chart comes out

Spotify US: 1. Toosie Slide - 2,223,556
Weirdly enough, the playcounts haven't been updated yet despite the charts being updated, so not sure if they finally combined clean/explicit.

The clean version doesn't exist any more at all. At least on my app.
EDIT: Oh it's labeled under additional releases but doesn't show on the main page.

Roses might enter the top 20 this week if it keeps pulling big streams.

"Unforgettable" is literally Swae Lee's song, he wrote it, and the song was completed as a Rae Sremmurd track until French bought it and added his ironically forgettable verses. Swae also wrote "Sunflower" as a solo track before getting Post on it. He knows how to write hits, he also came up with the chorus for Beyonce's "Formation".

Swae Lee's contributions are what made Unforgettable (and Sunflower) memorable.

Those Drake snippets... maybe it's just because of extreme overexposure but I literally cannot differentiate between most Drake songs now. Like you could tell me those two songs were actually Scorpion album tracks and have been out for nearly 2 years at this point and I'd just be like "ok yea" like for the biggest artist on the planet this is pathetic

Roses might enter the top 20 this week if it keeps pulling big streams. it will reach the top 20 in 2 weeks, my prediction. why is this song popular that much? I don't get it. There are at least 10 EDM tracks that deserved Hot 100 success more. imo

I can easily differentiate them. I can say I couldn't differentiate 2 BTS tracks, but at the end of the day, their humongous fanbase could easily differentiate them. Their music just isn't my cup of tea. And y'all peddling Drake's music being all the same will always be hilarious because there is literally PLENTY of Hip-Hop artists who make the same sounding songs, and Drake isn't one of them. One of the most versatile Hip-Hop artists ever.

Toosie Shortbread didn't debut on the Hot 100 this week (it debuted at #18 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 instead) so a #1 debut is still in play!
Funny how Billboard continues to have his label information wrong. They have his label as "OVO Sound" instead of just "OVO."It says so on the copyright of the song. They made the exact same mistake when Care Package debuted at #1. That was also released on "OVO," not "OVO Sound." You'd think Billboard would know to not miss such a small detail, but alas.

I loved Drake until recently. It's been clear for a couple years that he has creatively stagnated and the output has been middling to completely boring.
He's of course still smashing so kudos? But I can't help but feel like stuff like Tusa Slime is only going to hit #1 because of his name recognition.

One of the most versatile Hip-Hop artists ever. should've clarified when i meant "most drake songs now" i meant like most songs he's released between 2018-now it feels like he's just artistically stagnated and he's just too big to give a shit now. i know he's made tons of different sounding songs over his career and most of them came out before Scorpion. like genuinely what sets Stick It apart from anything on his last album what's he doing to bring people into this upcoming record

But I can't help but feel like stuff like Tusa Slime is only going to hit #1 because of his name recognition. It's okay to not like Drake and for his music to no longer appeal to you. The only time I have a problem (not saying you're doing this right now) is when people try to pass off their opinion as hard, established fact. As much as you feel like his output has become completely boring, there are millions of fans who feel differently, based on the reaction all the music he's dropped since 2018 has gotten. Between all the leaks and all the songs he's dropped since 2019 till now, the only thing that hasn't gotten a completely positive reaction is Toosie Strawberry and that's from people who are both just casual listeners and those who are die-hard fans. Just go on Twitter and see the reaction people are having to the songs he played on Instagram live early this morning. Then again, it's possible he just isn't an artist you can get jiggy to anymore. That's okay as well. We all have artists we move on from.

Of course it's still super early to say, and this is a wrong thread (although there is no such thing on Pulse chart discussion), but I feel that Drake's upcoming project could be a relative underperformance like Ed Sheeran's latest album both in quality and on charts. You read it here first!
