I do find it to be a bit repetitive towards the end...and some of the lyrics are head-scratchers! Like...who is Noah?! It’s a reference to Noah’s arc, where he had 2 of every animal species to protect them from the flood so they could repopulate the earth.

I definitely tried to give the album cuts/lesser known singles a fair shake, but the singles really are the stars of the album. I'm hoping that "If You're Not in it for Love (I'm Outta Here!)" takes the win!

Which means that all singles remain!!!!! I mean, when we get to Come On Over, there were like 13 singles from that album anyway.

While I’ve really quite cared for “If It Don’t Take Two”, I’ve always known it to be one of the favorite non-single and therefore figured it would also be the highest ranking album track. #sorrynotsorry for my last place ranking of “Home Ain’t Where His Heart Is”. What a dreary of a song that just fails to capture my attention. I’ve also never understood why it was selected as a single especially when I think there were a couple other and more suitable options…heck even “It It Don’t Take Two” would’ve been a better choice. Anyways, I think single bias got this a bit higher than it normally would’ve got had it just been regulated as an album track. I pretty much expected that the title track of the album would both fail to make the top five but also be one of the more polarizing songs. I happen to find the song to be stunningly gorgeous, seductive, and captivating. This was a rather brave choice to release as the third single, but was also likely propelled further up on the charts thanks in part to the success of “Any Man of Mine”. Given that the Shania Twain artist rankdown (hosted by the one and only .indulgecountry) was one of the first to be completed way back in 2017, I’m not quite sure we can expect the same results with the five remaining songs. I’m very much expecting it to be a nail-biter so let me at least take a shot at some kind of prediction: 5. You Win My Love 4. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? 3. If You’re Not In It For Love (I’m Outta Here)! 2. No One Needs to Know 1. Any Man of Mine

bboat11 how could you rank this masterpiece of a song last?! Haha! Just teasing. That said, this song is probably in my top five of all Shania songs ever released. The video is gorgeous as well.

Any Man of Mine Speaking of that Shania Twain rankdown, I've updated the singles from this album with their respective placements in that rankdown and will be doing the same for the debut as well and going forward in the series! The singles from Now don't have placements in that rankdown because seemingly five minutes after it happened, Shania decided to finally come back

OMG I have had EVERY song thusfar ranked higher than its placement by 1 position 👀
Which means, where is my #12??!!!?! Right here, all you had to do was ask! An odd song to put at #12 but ok

Hahaha I have to admit, it does seem obscenely harsh now But, this entire album is stellar, and something had to be last place. When I was revisiting the title track, it just didn't capture my attention as much as it used to, or the way that anything else did :(

At least Kanenrá:ke also understands the pure MAGIC of "Home Ain't..." because the song is just totally exceptional lyrically, musically, and vocally. It is easily one of her most beautiful vocals on record to date. You can feel the heartbreak and anguish in her voice and the lyrics are so tragic, as taylor pointed out. It's a shame it was an ill-fated single @ country radio because it has all the makings of a true classic. I'm glad it was able to at least best all of the album cuts and "God Bless the Child," which is what I expected it to do as I never anticipated it getting past the firewall of hits.

I didn't expect the gorgeous "The Woman in Me" to make top two or anything, but I thought it would at least outlast "You Win My Love."
The background singers are what make "If It Don't Take Two" unlistenable for me.

"You Win My Love" is a jam! Definitely one of those hits that has been there for my entire life, that I always love to hear. This placement is a good one though, because everything that's left is even MORE iconic! This very much feels like a 1995 hit now, whereas something like "If You're Not In It For Love" seems to have aged better (like that one could totally pass for a Come On Over track. So could "Any Man Of Mine".)

Kicking things off tonight is the smash jam "You Win My Love." This first song to leave in the Top 5 didn't start out too strongly at all, and was even a last-place contender early on in the submission process. It gained some pretty good traction eventually, but just didn't have enough strength to beat out anything else, sticking itself comfortably at #5. Seven people correctly placed it here, while codyj100 finally rids of his #12. I absolutely LOVE this song, y'all!!! It's got such an infectious melody and Shania's vocal delivery of the chorus is wonderful! It's a jam and a half and I'm glad it managed to make it this far!

"Any Man of Mine" came on and it just felt so seamless in the context of Come On Over; it was brilliant!

inb4 bboat11 has the #1 ranked at 0 👀 Well the trend broke when I had my last place at #6. So that means that my #5 is still out there somewhere. I bet the trend will hold true for the next 3 reveals, and then my #5 will win Edit: I hope I'm wrong, of course. It would be tragic if my #5 beat anything in my top 3

"You Win My Love" was the one big hit from this album that I couldn't quite get into - the chorus was always super underwhelming to me just because of the melody; I just find the melody to be uninteresting.
It's a great top 4... let the actual bloodbath begin!

I heard you've been sneakin' around with Jill And what about that weekend with Beverly Hill And I've seen you walkin' with long legs Louise And you weren't just talkin' last night with Denise.
Whose bed have your boots been under? And whose heart did you steal I wonder? This time did it feel like thunder, baby? And who did you run to?
And whose lips have you been kissin'? And whose ear did you make a wish in? Is she the one that you've been missin', baby?

Missing out on the Top 3 is "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" This one is a JAM, y'all! It's one of my favorite Shania jams and never fails to get me up and dancing every time it comes on! This one managed to get Top 10 support from ALL of us, and fought to the death with our #3 ranked song, which as you can see from the trajectory, only lost the battle when the last submission came in. "Whose Bed" was the lead single from the album, released at the very start of 1995, just a month before the parent album was set to release. Shania originally planned on giving lead single rights to "Any Man of Mine" but felt that listeners would be a bit polarized on that if it were their first taste of the upcoming music, so it was switched at her convincing. Lo and behold, however, "Whose Bed" only peaked at #11 (still a great showing and her first major country hit!), while "Any Man of Mine," which was released second, was the one that hit #1 and crossed over

The trend continues "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under" is one of those all-time greats in the land of iconic country songs. EVERYBODY who likes country music needs to know this song. Otherwise they are not actually a country music fan. It's been scientifically proven!! However, with that notoriety has come a fair amount of overplay... And like I said earlier, some of the hits from this album could have been on Come On Over.....but this one is DEFINITELY not one of them. "Whose Bed" has aged harder the last couple years than just about any other song I could think of. It is very much a product of its time period. Still a great song! But I can see why it might be polarizing enough to fall behind the 3 singles that remain.

I met a tall, dark and handsome man And I've been busy makin' big plans But no one needs to know right now.
I got my heart set, my feet wet And he don't even know it yet But no one needs to know right now.
I'll tell him someday some way somehow But I'm gonna keep it a secret for now.
I want bells to ring, a choir to sing The white dress the guests the cake the car the whole darn thing

"No One Needs To Know" is really good but the top tracks on this album are STACKED and I could only put it at #3.
1 vs. 4 for me - "Any Man of Mine" for the win! It's a whole jam.

No One Needs to Know is the only song I revisit from this album on its own with any regularity, but Country is not at the top of my genres of choice so overall this album is a bit much for me to swallow sometimes.
This one however is intimate, fun, catchy, sweet and just a fantastic song all around. I hoped it could reach at least #2, but sadly I was mistaken. The two biggest hits reign supreme

To the pain of EIGHT people who just lost their #1 (the most amount of #1s in this rankdown by the way!), "No One Needs to Know" has to settle for bronze. It was initially very formidable, becoming the first consistent #1 contender in the submission process, before more lower ranks began dragging it down. It wasn't dragged down too far tho! It played a game of tug-of-war with a couple of songs along the way before the last list put it in its place at #3. Tbh I was never too big on this song as a kid, but as time has passed, I've warmed up to it more and more!
This was released as a single on May 15, 1996 as not only the sixth single but also as part of the soundtrack for the (imo INCREDIBLE) film Twister. It eventually became Shania's fourth #1, and this album's third consecutive, on July 13.

Yassss! "No One Needs To Know" is fantastic. It is awesome seeing it in the top 3 But "Any Man Of Mine" and "If You're Not In It For Love" are easily two of my favorite songs of her entire career, so I am happy to see them fight it out for the top AMOM is my #1, but I literally do not care which one wins!

Also going along with what I said earlier, I personally feel like "No One Needs To Know" could join "Any Man Of Mine" and "If You're Not In It For Love" over on the Come On Over album. They all three have aged gracefully enough that they totally fit in with some of her iconic songs that came a bit later in her career
