I quite like this. I completely agree that it sounds like a HotAC hit from the late 90s/early 00s. I can see it doing well, but I agree that it will take a long time to get going (outside of this week's artificially inflated debut).

Third most added song with 29 adds. Not bad, but reinforces this is probably gonna be a marathon chart run if it will be a hit.

This lice is better than I thought. Like others have said, I wouldn’t describe it as a “country” song but it’s a really well written track. That piano at the beginning just sounds so familiar to me that I want to hear it again and again. Hope he finds some success with it

This reminds me so much of Phil Vassar’s “Carlene”.

I'm not very optimistic this one will do well in the long-run. After debuting at #34 on Mediabase, "Gabrielle" fell out of the top 50 on Mediabase and took three weeks to re-enter at #48. Its gains aren't terrible but its slow movement indicates a very lengthy chart run. Its sales also fell off dramatically -- Brett's currently out of the top 800 on the all-genre chart...
I don't dislike this song, but, it's just boring. It sounds a bit different than the norm for mainstream radio but I'm having a difficult time enjoying the melody of this song. I tend to forget how it goes after I hear it lol.
It's still pretty early but the last couple weeks of its performance aren't overly encouraging.

Him covering When The Party's Over is one of the weirdest covers I have heard... Start at 11:26

Oh wow really, because this song seems to be doing pretty well so far all things considered as it is gonna go up 8 spots to #40 on Mediabase tonight with a bullet of 140. While it is not at a great pace, the fact it will be back solidly in the Top 40 after being at country radio for 5 weeks is pretty good. Then again, maybe this week will be a fluke.

Another song from the new album called "Good Day". I like this a lot. Very easy going rootsy sound he’s got going for him on this record so far.

Judging from song previews in social media this album is having too many ballads, although they don't sound bad.

Yeah this album is gonna be a total 180 for Brett. Very slowed down and deep. Crowd My Mind is the best thing he’s released to date

I have always liked Brett’s voice and am looking forward to the album! I agree though about it already seeming a bit ballad heavy.

I’m obsessed with this song and I’m so excited for this album. Definitely a step up in class. I think Gabrielle along with Champagne Night and Lovin on You are my jams at the moment.

This one’s bombing pretty hard. “Gabrielle” over the past month has gained zero audience on Mediabase. It hasn’t gained any positions in the past seven weeks either...yikes. It looks like Brett will get knocked out of the MB top 40 this week as well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they move on to a new single soon. This isn’t a very good lead single, in my opinion; it’s not very catchy and isn’t memorable.

I think we all know that radio is pretty selective in the songs it plays. Gabrielle is a great song and just like Kacey Musgrave's, doesn’t need it to be a radio hit to be a success.

I really love this one so it is unfortunate to see it struggling so much. I hear “Don’t Ya” and “Beat of the Music” often so my radio station has no trouble playing Brett, just not one I wish they would play!

You think it’s a great song, which is your opinion, I think it’s as bland as white bread. It never sounded like a lead single to me. Yes, slower songs usually (not always, obviously) do poorer than upbeat tracks at radio, but with this single I personally think WMN could have done better with the lead here for success hopes. I’m aware this one is liked by many here but it’s not a good radio single, in my opinion and it’s largely forgetful to me. In terms of being a hit outside of radio, it’s below the top 300 on iTunes all-genre, which isn’t terrible given its airplay, but also not selling great either. My guess is this one will be forgotten a few years from now.

At the end of the day radio isn’t everything. Grady gave this one a great review on his channel and generally it has been received well. Definitely won’t be forgotten.

This is fantastic! I’m really hoping this one catches on and accelerates into the autumn. I swear I’ve heard the guitar riff somewhere before, I just can’t put my finger on it.

This guy really has had quite the drop off career wise. He seemed poised to break out big following “Drunk On Your Love”, but now it seems like they’ve virtually threw in the towel. This single isn’t that radio friendly and now the album comes out before most country listeners have even heard his new song. A little surprised but I guess with tons of new artists scoring hits, somebody has to get weened off radio eventually.
