I'm really proud of her. Listening to all those interviews, I'm impressed of how well she seems to be handling the divorce. Obviously we'll probably never know what's going on behind close doors, but it really seems as if she's at peace with the situation, she probably did everything that was in her hands, and she's acting really mature IMO. Not wanting River and Remi go through what she went with her own parents separation is probably the driving force behind her acting, but still, it's refreshing to see someone in the spotlight talk about this kind of stuff with so much honesty and grace.

As for the album, I'M REALLY EXCITED. I'm dying to see this maturity and bottled up emotions poured into her music. I have no idea what sounds she's going for, but hopefully she'll add more jems to her catalogue. By her description of it telling the story of a relationship since it's inception till it's ending, it's probably going to be as eclectic as all her albums usually are, so I'm not expecting it to be just heartbreak, but still probably the only thing I want for this upcoming era is for her to finally have a big heartbreak piano ballad: her own Someone Like You or Say Something (I don't count BOY/PBP because of the lyrics theme, and AG because of the production). I Don't Think About You is probably the closest she has come sonically to the type of song I want from her with her latest releases, but it still came a little short.

Knowing that the majority of songs have been recorded and they're going through mixes now, any ideas on when songs will be registered?

Seems like they haven't been registering them, or at least pushing them on the website, very far in advance on her last couple albums. I don't expect that to change this time around.

I think there’s more than enough room for both and Kelly is already established, even after one season. I think she will be around for a while. Is Barrymore doing an informative or entertainment talk show? The categories are different if you are thinking in terms of awards.

Week 1 of Season 2 of The Kelly Clarkson Show will feature celebrity interviews and performances with the theme #MusicWeek from Common, John Legend, Little Big Town, Machine Gun Kelly, Sabrina Carpenter, Neil Patrick Harris, Queen Latifah and Usher.

You know who the blur kinda looks like? Leona Lewis. I'm not sure she would be a huge surprise for the public, but I do think Kelly would react like that if it was her just because she'd recognized her.

Interesting that there are so many people performing the first week. I think she only had a handful of other artists perform during the entirety of season 1? Must be a new tweak to the show. It certainly helps them manage time since that cuts down around 3-4 minutes of a 42 min telecast.

It's a special "Music Week" to kick off the season, but I do hope they incorporate it more throughout the season. I feel like there might've been a budget reason why there weren't many last year.

I'd rather have four more minutes of Kelly interacting with people and finding out who the artists are as people. I can watch performances anywhere. Kelly makes me like people I never thought I would by letting them be their true selves.

It’s bothered me for years though. I’ll mention my love for Kelly and MANY friends respond with “oh I don’t like country”. Just now I googled Kelly to see if there was any Emmy news and came across an article about the “country singer dropping the F-Bomb twice on her family friendly talk show”. 🙄
