PREDICTION: ROCKSTAR will peak higher than Suge but will have a lower year-end spot and less overall points No way ROCKSTAR is outpeaking Suge. The album's already getting mediocre reviews from fans and non-fans alike, so I doubt it'll get the streams to even break the Top 10. It'll debut in the Top 40 and then be forgotten in a few weeks.

Twitter is not an indication of how an album will do. The album is performing well on Apple Music and had 6 of the top 10 songs on that platform 6 hours after release.

Holy crap, a quarter into the year and we already have 10/10 albums from Spectrum Pulse and Pitchfork. Not you considering Spectrum Pulse on the same level as Pitchfork With all respect to Pitchfork and their history, but they do come across as rather elitist and biased every now and then. I mean, even if one is not a fan of Ed Sheeran, no way in hell is "Divide" worthy of a 2.8/10. It's at worst a safe album not exploring the full potential of its artist, and I think Spectrum Pulse's 6/10 is a much more valid and reasonable score. More infamously, Pitchfork was quite critical of Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die", giving it a 5.5/10. Now, Mark wasn't too fond of Lana either, but his reviews of her early work are much more straightforward, clearly explaining his issues with the albums and providing good basis for his arguments (not to mention he acknowledges its appeal to certain demographics). Meanwhile, I feel like the Pitchfork reviewers tend to rely on style and imagery over substance. Just my opinion, of course. Also, the website published a review of MIKA's 2007 album "Life In Cartoon Motion" and gave it a 1.5/10. His music might not be everyone's cup of tea, but to claim 'there's virtually zero worth to this album' is frankly ignorant and shallow-minded. Not to mention Sam Hunt's "Southside", which was bashed by both Spectrum Pulse and The Needle Drop, getting a 7.5/10, a higher rating than Ariana Grande's "Yours Truly", Taylor Swift's "Lover", and Bruno Mars' "24K Magic". Oh, and while doing research for this reply, I also found this totally not biased review of Panic! At The Disco's classic "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out", where the album also got a 1.5/10 and was described as a 'steaming pile of garbage'. pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/6586-a-fever-you-cant-sweat-out/ Yeah, even if this was an early review, the fact they allowed this (and the MIKA review) to stay on their website says a lot. I just want to stress once again that I respect your opinion, but just because reviews are published by a renowned company doesn't mean they are automatically more credible than those from independent reviewers. After all, there are humans behind Pitchfork, and if Mark or Anthony started writing for them, some folks would definitely feel less skeptical of what they have to say.

Are we really gonna have two hits called Rockstar in a 3 year span?
Edit: My bad, forgot one is called “rockstar” and the other is called “ROCKSTAR” so I guess it’ll be okay.

Spectrum Pulse is much more thorough and fair in his reviews. Pitchfork doesn’t even deserve to be compared to him.

Pitchfork is as bad as every other music reviewing site nowadays. It's like looking back at that NME review where they called the Barenaked Ladies the worst thing to ever happen to music while they gave high reviews to fucking Be Here Now. Honestly while older Pitchfork reviews aged poorly I wish they'd give out more negative reviews nowadays, it's almost as bad as game reviews where people never give anything lower than a 4. Can't criticize the people giving us our ad revenue!

The Dababy love is baffling(maybe I've outgrown the new age of hiphop😅) I understand people's love for Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti but like what is Dababy doing different. His debut album was pretty solid tbh, he had a pretty unique sound and a lot of charisma which was a huge part of his appeal, but then he decided to use the Suge flow about 200 times on KIRK and it started to get old really fast

Credit where it's due though, like it or hate it, at least he's trying to switch it up a bit by trying to use melodic flows more often.

I find it weird that people prefer KIRK to BLAME IT ON BABY, even though KIRK definitely has the better song, BIOB is definitely more consistent, has overall better beats and has distinctive songs. I just think this is a vocal minority thing, hip hop Twitter was making fun of KIRK too, granted DaBaby probably had a bit more hype for KIRK so I wouldn’t be surprised if it under performs.
On an unrelated note, are the beats for @ MEH and SAD SH*T weirdly similar.

I would think. at least it isn't backward like yrc tfel ot sreat on first of all, you spelled "no tears to left cry" which is not a song (yet). also while the promo material had the title upside down, streaming platforms had it stylized as "No Tears Left To Cry" (until Sweetener came out, when it was made all-lowercase.) I think the worst ever track listing goes to Zayn's Mind of Mine:

Kendrick Lamar's Damn had every song capitalised on the track listing this isn't really a new thing.

Kelly Clarkson's "I Dare You" is No. 1 on iTunes. What does that even mean nowadays? Maybe she can debut at No. 100 and jump to No. 1 next week breaking her own record? :kii:

Hah 😎 I’m going baby on baby 😜😈👶🏻
In all honesty though Dababys is kinda mid, it’s not awful though, it’s just like he got bullied into going outside his comfort zone and now it’s really awkward and he doesn’t know how to act.

Despite everyone seeming to find DaBaby's album trash he now owns the entire top 11 on AM and has pushed "@ Me" to #14 and "Toosie Slide" #12.

Toosie Slide seems to have fallen below Blinding Lights on AM. Doubt it'll last, but it shows it isn't overwhelmingly dominant on there (not that anything really can be in this climate).
