Wow I'm really surprised about this. I think this song has an incredible melody and her voice is great. I would've never guessed this would be out so low. :'(

Welp, now that the obvious bottom 2 are out, things are quickly becoming MUCH more interesting!! Chrissy Metz was able to beat Kane by over 70 points, and gained five top 10 votes from us, but unfortunately none of that was ever really enough to be able to help her escape the bottom 4! She was very consistently at either #22 or 23 throughout the submission process. Random, but she reminds me a LOT of Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town. The first few times I listened through this playlist I kept thinking "Wait Karen Fairchild doesn't have any songs in this rankdown..." Anyway, y'all did this one dirty! But this is pretty indicative of just how wild this rankdown is bound to be from here on out

"Talking to God" and "Cool Again" were the two songs that I had no use for whatsoever in this RD, so great to see them go out back-to-back in the bottom 3. I don't like her vocals here (there's something about the vocal tone and I feel like there's a weird effect on the vocals?) and I'm not exactly a fan of the production either.

âTalking to Godâ was one of my favorite discoveries from the rankdown! While this isnât something Iâd usually seek out I really liked it and was even more surprised to learn of who sang it as Iâve always been a fan of hers. Nonetheless, this seems like itâs leaving at right about where I thought it might.

I didn't know what to expect with seeing the This Is Us girls name attached to the title "Talking To God" but I really liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Was really pretty and didn't feel like a preachfest.

I was really hoping âGoodbyeâ would make it past the bottom five but I had a gut feeling it might not. Iâm glad to see this included here because had his label released it just a few days earlier I for sure wouldâve included it as a tribute in my Kenny Rogers rankdown from the previous month.

Kenny Rogers shocked the country music community when he passed away suddenly on March 20, 2020. He is a true veteran of the genre, churning out so many classics like "The Gambler" and "Islands In The Stream" that are widely recognized both within and without the country music industry. Posthumously, it was announced that this song, "Goodbye", was going to be released as his final single. tim has since told me that is was not a new release at all, and was included on a compilation album a few years back Still, I felt it was appropriate that he get honored here due to his passing. Especially since it didn't get to be in his singles rankdown that happened right after his passing.

"Goodbye" is a song I wanted to rank higher but I just didn't feel compelled to come back to the song compared to most of the other songs (I mean... I did rank 21 songs above this sooo).

Our next song at #21 finishes exactly 100 points higher than Luke Bryan's "One Margarita"! Which is hella impressive, but unfortunately was not enough to get it out of the bottom 5

One Margarita -- Still don't know why this blows up so hard. Maybe because it's the first party song released in the pandemic? Horrendous vocals in the chorus too. Cool Again -- This is slightly more country version of One Thing Right but it is still not very catchy and becomes irritating very quickly. Talking To God -- Heard this song in a Grady Smith video lol. Wow a weak Ashley McBryde co-wrote...And I don't use her vocals.

Oh thank goodness. I might be one of the few here that actually quite dislike Lee Briceâs voice...and I also hate this song lyrically. Trash.

"One Of Them Girls" has been pretty widely praised since it came out. And it only got 5 bottom 5 ranks here! It sees the first #2 loss of the rankdown, courtesy of LBTrocks But none of that was enough to help it escape the bottom 5. To me that is just another indicator of just how strong this list is as a whole!

One of the better things I've heard from Lee Brice, but he's not a particularly good artist at all so that was a pretty low bar to clear... and there's a lot of better songs in this set so I'm definitely not upset by this reveal.

One Of Them Girls - the theme is quite passive aggressive, and I don't really like the use of "them" as a slang, but melodically it is very smooth. Probably one of the last people Pulse thinks will have career surge in 2020 lol

Lol why is âOne of Them Girlsâ kind of a bop - I blame this RD again but most likely Iâll forget about the song until it gets higher in the charts or the 2020 country RD because Lee Brice isnât usually an artist that I think to play when Iâm playing music.

OKAY!!!! #20 has our first #1 rank, and seven other top 10s...and THREE #25s... And yet didn't even manage to be one of the most polarizing songs of the rankdown That's how all-over-the-place some of these results are.... Here it comes!!

20. "Brave" - Ruston Kelly

I normally like Ruston but initially I wasnât fond of his voice on this track. That said, Iâve really come to like this song a lot more since listening to it for this rankdown. And not to get to personal but there is a lot that I can relate to in Rustonâs music from a lyrical standpoint and I so appreciate his honesty when it comes to his songwriting.

"Brave" was a great discovery for me. Ruston Kelly's voice definitely takes some getting used to, but once I got past that, this is a truly beautiful song. It's not a flashy song or anything, but it is one of those soft, emotional songs that can really grab you when you're not expecting it.
I'm just happy to see it escape the bottom 5, because there were definitely times where I wasn't sure if that would be able to happen!
