Megan Moroney is one of the more popular newcomers to the genre as she's put up some strong placements over the past year in this rankdown leading up to the release of Lucky last May. Like many country artists as of late, she decided to re-issue the record almost immediately after with additional bonus tracks tacked on, one of which being the re-imagined "Fix You Too" that previously appeared on her buzzy EP from 2022, Pistol Made of Roses. This time she turned the song into a duet with Kameron Marlowe, which elevated the song, imo. Not everyone was as enthralled as it lands pretty squarely in the middle of the rankdown, with most of its ranks coming from the teens, though she did manage to get 6 top 10s.

This pre-release track from the Judds tribute album that came out this fall was noteworthy because it featured Wynonna, one-half of the OG duo! That said, this re-do with Trisha Yearwood proved to be pretty polarizing, which admittedly surprised me a bit. For me, I like this, but I ranked it a bit lower due to the competition at hand rather than anything against the song itself as I think Wynonna + Trisha are both powerhouse vocalists. Darkest Hour unfortunately becomes the latest poster to suffer a #1 loss. OTOH, four posters lose a bottom 5.

Kylie Morgan's young adult inspirational anthem in "Making It Up as I Go" is next to bow out. The title cut to her debut LP, this one has been a huge grower on me and I actually love it even more now than when I ranked it #6. It may have moved up a spot or two if I were to re-rank now, but it wouldn't have changed anything of course. That said, this song collected five top 10s, and a pair of bottom 5s, but the bulk of its ranks were spread across the teens, leading to it landing right smack dab in the middle of the ranking results (#13 of 26).

Maybe because I already listened to the original version of ''Fix You Too'' over 100 times so I don't really like the new one with Kameron on as much as the original one. If it's the original one I'd easily get it to the top of my list.

Luke Combs- I mentioned in my comments about Trailer Park Barbie that this was a much better song, and I rated it accordingly. (although, maybe the Luke Combs song you are in is Beer Never Broke My Heart or Cold as You)
Fix You, Too- Liked the song save one word (I know I harp on this a little too much, but if I did a scoring grid like bboat11 does, it would be heavily weighted on No bad words.). Other than that, I like Megan and I like Kameron (I like all them Marlowes). Like the "all these issues, don't need another" theme.
Cry Myself To Sleep- I mentioned in the 1991 countdown that I was never a big fan of the Judds, but this is one of their better songs, and it lets Trisha and Wynonna belt a little.
Making it up As I Go-- Aren't we all. This one was ok, but there's a little too much nasal or something in Kylie's voice that turns me off.

I like the idea of Luke Combs, and it is a huge improvement from the prior month entry, but Kaylee Bell executed this idea far better with Keith. Unless I’m missing some, Tanner only mentioned like 5 songs.

Canadian Country singer Jess Moskaluke finishes at #12 here. This song is a total bop! And it seems most agreed as it racked up a majority top half rankings, but it lacked the passion of others as despite seven top 10s, not a single one of those was a top 5! It also only landed in one poster's bottom 5.

Madeline Merlo is the last to bow out shy of a top 10 finish, and she misses the mark by a mere 6 points. "Tim + Faith" was the last song named after a person remaining out of the 4 we started with and this one had spent quite a bit of time in the top 10 throughout the submission process, but it sadly just couldn't secure a spot there as it tumbled out in the final stretch. She picked up an impressive five top 5 ranks, plus three additional top 10s, but it was weighed down by a pair of bottom 5s and a cluster of low teen ranks.

Brothers Osborne narrowly made the top 10 here with "Who Says You Can't Have Everything." This becomes our first multi-#1 loss as both tim and castleoblivion26 lose their top song. Six additional top 10s helped push it into the threshold, though it also picked up a trio of ranks in the 20s. Despite my rank for this being low, I actually want to go on record and say I did enjoy this one, it just didn't stack up for me against some of the competition as BrOs songs often don't for me.

Good to see Jess and Madeline doing fairly well here. Neither song is their best entry here, but still solid attempts from strong vocalists.
“Who Says” is one of the strongest songs from rather disappointing album. Far better than Nobody’s, which is overdue to be replaced by a new single.

Another country duo bows out, this time it's Dan + Shay! "Neon Cowgirl" did really well considering their usual stigma on Pulse, but the fiddle-laced neo-traditional arrangement of the song likely gave them kudos from usual dissenters, myself included. I'm still not *totally* enamored with it and them, but their latest album is definitely a huge step up for them due to the more organic approach to the music. It managed to pull off eight top 10 ranks, and only one bottom 5.

Coming in at #8 is Maren Morris' "The Tree," which was released alongside "Get the Hell Out of Here" as part of a short EP titled The Bridge that came as a segue out of the mainstream country music landscape. She's since clarified that she doesn't intend to stop making country music entirely, though it's unclear what her next move will be. That said, she did at least give us a pair of songs that were comfortably in her wheelhouse last fall, though "The Tree" didn't garner the kind of rave reception new Maren tracks usually get. It's our second song with a pair of #1s (courtesy of austin and Kris Kringle) in the top 10 reveals thus far to be shed, and they were joined by six additional top 10s. OTOH, nuggie99 finally loses his last place rank, the last one remaining.

With a 2-point difference, Drake Milligan skirts ahead of Maren Morris with "I Got a Problem." After a few songs with pairs of #1 losses, this marks our first reveal boasting a trio of #1. George Strait Junkie and 🌺CountryLineDancer make up two of those, and the third is nuggie99, who notably loses his top song immediately after ousting his least favorite song in the set ("The Tree"). The neo-traditional romper also bagged a trio of ranks in the 20s that dashed its top 5 finish hopes, but over half of the participant pool found a spot in their top 10 for this one, so it's safe to say it's pretty popular.

Another narrow margin, Emily Ann Roberts finishes a mere 3 points ahead of Drake, and merely 4 points shy of the song that ultimately secured the last spot in the top 5. After a few previous finishes in this series that felt like robberies where she failed to make the top 10, "Out of Sight" manages to make it all the way to #6 and come up just short of a top 5 finish. kw9461 is the next poster to lose their #1, and 10/17 of the participant pool lose a song in their top 10s. OTOH, three posters placed this one in their 20s.

“Out of Sight” had the worst demo-sounding production of the entire set. It really ruined my enjoyment of the song.
