Help. I actually think her vocals are solid considering her age. Also the song is a nice tribute to Kris Kristofferson's wife as they have similar backgrounds. Hope it's more due to unfamiliarity (not that I am familiar with her though) than song's quality.

I never really loved her music except for I'm Not Lisa Her follow-ups to I'm Not Lisa may flop because of bad marketing plans but she's just one classic for me.

Well I thought it was a great 70s-80s style song, which is right up my alley.

“Angel in the Fire” was so pretty! No way this deserved last place.

In the penultimate position we have Jelly Roll & K. Michelle's collab of "Love Can Build a Bridge" from the A Tribute to The Judds record, which was the selection from the album that was showcased on last fall's CMA Awards with a heartfelt performance. SHOOTER loses a top 5 and castleoblivion26 a top 10, but ultimately, this had roughly half the participant pool place it in their bottom 5, sinking its chances of making it any higher.

After appearing on American Idol a few years back, Dillon James recently signed with Buena Vista and released "Walking Man" as his debut offering. The edgy rock-tinged track was the one and only track out of the 30 songs this month to not receive a single top 10 placement from any participant, which definitely did not help its fortunes. That said, it came close on a few lists as a pair of posters lose a #11 rank, but on the other end zaclord 🌈 loses his last place.

Jon Pardi recruited Luke Bryan for his latest single and it's been a bit of a mixed bag, similar to the artists in question as Pulse is generally a bit more favorable towards Pardi but less so (especially lately) to Bryan. They came together for the rousing country anthem "Cowboys and Plowboys" and the response from radio has been a bit tepid to start, and the participants here seem to share the sentiment as it was only able to score two top 10s (one of them an early blow to 🌺CountryLineDancer's top 5, however). While it came comfortably ahead of our bottom 3 songs and didn't compete for last, it still failed to get much traction, and five posters lose a bottom 5, notable including kluen's #30.

"Cowboys and Plowboys" is the most listenable radio single from Luke Bryan since Down To One.

"Different About You" served as the representation for Old Dominion's latest LP, Memory Lane. Country music's top band landed a pair of top 5s from zaclord 🌈 and tim, but only two other top half ranks beyond that. We see George Strait Junkie lose his #30 this time, along with another four bottom 5 ranks.

I enjoy “Cowboys And Plowboys” a lot I think it’s a great duet between the two. As far as the rest of the new reveals they weren’t anything special to me so I’m not upset to see them go.

Well “Walking Man” got screwed. In a weaker month, this would have likely been in my top 10.

29. Massive downgrade from last month's Wynoona/Trisha collab for The Judds tribute album. They made a cheesy song more cheesy.
28. Could have been worse for "edgy" country rock, but I know country forum Pulse is generally not into this kind of stuff, and the lyrics are typical of this field anyway.
27. This collab actually harms Jon Pardi as it looks like he's selling out. Not to mention the theme of harmonization feels very thin here. At least it has a decent sound.
26. Zac Brown Band is probably still more popular than Old Dominion these days based on name recognition and cultural relevance tbh. Anyway this is just a mediocre Old Dominion song, not as bad as their earlier hits but totally faceless.
I know the host will boost my #30 but I hope it doesn't escape bottom 10.

Country's latest new country band to attempt to break through is Restless Road. The sweeping and heartfelt "You Don't Have to Love Me" was one of the more buzzed-about tracks from their debut LP, Last Rodeo, which dropped in Ocober. I wound up being the highest rank for this, though bboat11 joined me in the top 10 so I wasn't completely alone in my love for this one! OTOH, tim loses his #30 here, though no one else had it in their bottom 5 so it wasn't quite as polarizing as some of the reveals we've seen in the previous set.

"Remember Us" is another solid song from John Morgan, though it falls shy of the top 15 finish he achieved with "Cold Summer in San Antone" from a few months prior. There were a trio of top 10 ranks for this one, but the majority of its ranks came in the bottom 10, including a trio of bottom 5s.

The title cut from Caroline Jones' latest LP, "Homesite" received minimal fanfare as it also only accumulated three top 10 ranks, with a majority of bottom 10 placements instead, including five bottom 5s. I found this one decently pleasant, but nothing too memorable and in a month with pretty stiff competition, it fell toward the bottom of my list.

"Homesite" is kind of a nothingburger song, but damn Caroline Jones voice is fantastic on it. Her output has been all over the map so far, but more material where she can use the warmth in her voice would be greatly appreciated.

George Birge & RaeLynn's collaborative effort is out next. Bit of a random song to rack up #30 placements, but it ended up with three of them somehow. George has been nothing short of underwhelming to me thus far, but this song is a bop imo. RaeLynn adds a nice touch to it vocally, and the melody is more interesting than some of his other efforts. There were a trio of top 10s for this one as well.

Maggie Rose unluckily misses the top 20 by a mere 2-point margin with "Underestimate Me," her first new offering since signing with Big Loud last fall. She used to be a bit of a Pulse favorite about a decade ago when she had her first run at country radio before falling off after her label shuttered. She didn't receive the same fanfare this time as she got a pair of #30 ranks and only a pair of top 10s to offset it.
