Narrowly clinching a spot in the top 20, Charlie Worsham's Elle King-assisted "Creekwater Clear" from his recent Compadres EP bows out next. This reveal brings another heavy loss as Darkest Hour loses his #1, alongside a pair of additional top 10s. The majority of us had this one in our bottom 10s, however, sinking its potential to soar any higher than squeaking out a #20 finish.

Riley Green dropped his long-awaited sophomore album last fall, and "Ain't Like I Can Hide It" was one of the more buzzed-about album cuts from it. It wound up with three top 10s here, including a top 5, though it also sees SHOOTER finally losing his #30.

I’m not surprised George Birge and Riley Green didn’t do as good as I rated as Pulse generally isn’t a huge fan of them. I’m hoping Riley goes with “Damn Country Music” as his next single but this one would be a good option as well.

That said, there's several good options on the album, though "Ain't Like I Can Hide It" is the runaway best decision imo.

Sorry but Whiskey Go 'Round is just very repetitive. Doesn't help that neither singer has charisma to pull this off.
Wow, at least Creekwater Clear escaped bottom 10. Some of y'all only get radio country I swear.
As much as I dislike Riley Green as a person, Ain't Like I Can Hide It is not too bad with its slightly "dark" melody.

Been swamped at work, but finally got a minute.
Walking Man- I didn't much like this at first, then the chorus kicked in and it hit that swampy spot that Jackson Dean fills for me, so it bumped it up considerably for me. As an aside, we already had a Dillon and like 14 Dylans.
Cowboys and Plowboys- This is ok, if a bit cheesy. I really like Jon Pardi and I'm trying to come around to Luke Bryan.
Whiskey Go 'Round- Sounds like a retread of You Me and Whiskey, which was a retread on Never Say Never. (Side story
Underestimate Me- This hit a old soul/R&B spot for me and I really liked it. After country and western and classic rock, old R&B is my favorite music. Wish I had more time to dig into it.
Creekwater Clear- This was OK, but I'm not big on Elle King so it lost some stops. I do like Charlie, though.
Ain't like I can Hide It- I like Riley and this hits what I mentioned (I think it was in the Canada rankdown) that if you are really country, you don't have to tell people, they'll know.

Raspy-voiced Ashland Craft grabbed some Pulse members' hearts back in 2021 with her quietly-released debut album with Big Loud, but for whatever reason they let her go just as quietly without ever trying her at radio. She's released a stream of standalone indie singles since then, including "Night Owl" which was a bit of an unassuming and low-energy effort compared to some of her past work that sparked interest. She landed three top 10s, but the majority of her ranks ended up scattered in the back half of the teens and lower 20s.

Quite the fall from the month prior where Kimberly Perry contended for the top 3 with "Fool's Gold," she fails to even make the top half in this month's set with "Black Corvette," much to the chagrin of LBTrocks who loses his #1 and also taylor is terrified who loses their #2. OTOH, two #30 ranks are finally ousted with this reveal from Perry's elongated Superbloom solo project.

"Old and New" becomes the final song to bow out in the bottom half of the RD this month. The representative of Colbie Caillat's Along the Way album release, this earthy track may have turned some off with its length, but it charmed some others, including taylor is terrified who placed it top 5. Most found a spot for it somewhere closer to the middle though, which is where it ended up settling.

"Old and New" is probably the most natural that Colbie has sounded on a country song. It's a fairly lowkey song, but her delivery is quite pretty and I like the laid back nostalgia.

3 AM in Carolina is one of the best songs I heard from Darius in recent years. What a killer melody!

The offering representing Carolyn's Boy, "3 AM in Carolina," is the first to leave inside the top 15. Darius Rucker put up a comfortable lead on Colbie, but never came within striking distance of top 10, thanks to only a trio of top 10 ranks, though 🌺CountryLineDancer does experience a #2 loss here. OTOH, LBTrocks loses another bottom 5.

Largely a balladeer, Cody Johnson occasionally switches it up with a barn burner, and that's what "That's Texas" brings to the table. nuggie99 sadly is the latest to lose his #1 rank. This one was a bit polarizing as it got ranks all across the board with five top 10s, a string of mid-teens, and a handful of low ranks, including a bottom 5 from castleoblivion26.

Newcomer Ryan Larkins launched "King of Country Music" as his debut single at country radio this past fall, and it's already managed to crack the chart and get a bit of buzz going. We keep the #1 reveals coming as this time countryfan43 is the unlucky duck to have his favorite get the chop. This song actually tied in points with our next reveal at #12, but that song got the edge slightly in the tie-breaker.

I don’t dislike this, but we didn’t need another faceless male on the radio chart. I appreciate the traditional production, but the melody is really weak.

I don’t regret putting it as my number one. I think it’s a true message a lot of what makes a song good is the lyrics itself. I know for me personally I think Tracy Lawrence has less than ideal vocals but he has some amazing songwriting skills which boosts him up making the song the king of country music.

I always appreciate traditional leaning but that's about the only nice thing I can say about "King of Country Music" and Ryan Larkins. The dude has an abysmal, faceless voice and the song is completely lacking a strong melody. I pass.

Kelleigh Bannen wins the tiebreaker over Ryan Larkins with "I Know Better Now" because of a pair of #3s as the second-highest rank, compared to his #3 and #4, lol. Like our last two reveals, we see another #1 go down, this time courtesy of taylor is terrified. Four posters ranked this in their bottom 5, however, so it proved to be rather polarizing overall. A gap of over 20 points separate this from the song at #11, meaning it had no real hopes of top 10.
