I love Craig Morgan but "Ask Him" was a chore to get thru for me.

"Part of It" is the best thing Jordan Davis has done since "Take It From Me." Actually, its the only other song from him I like lol.

Yeah, listening to "Part Of It" again right now I feel like I may have underranked it a tad. This is pretty solid! I actually wish it was his new single, because I find "Next Thing You Know" to be a little bit boring.

28. "Exorcist" - Candi Carpenter
Ok this rankdown is canceled and set on fire that crappy Applebees guy is higher than Candi what a travesty 🤦♂️ this might be the one and only time I suggest a song for this 😂 y’all don’t deserve my picks And on the talk of this being a bad month and people not wanting to do it stop acting like that I hated a lot of this months stuff too but I’m always down to do this rankdown always find something new that I do like and that’s the whole reason for this to expose songs that we may end up missing instead

Apologies to Candi; I'm sure she's a lovely person. Meanwhile, Aubrie sucked ALL of the life and soul out of Bitter Sweet Symphony, my god. The Verve should sue.
Also, I thought Madeline's song was kinda catchy and that maybe someone would like it. Now David J's song I did think was actually good. Not great, but good!

As I mostly enjoy the contemporary country music outputs, I didn’t find this month to be particularly bad, or any other months tbh. Surely there are some months that I have fewer top tier songs , but I don’t recall hating the list beyond my bottom 5 or so.
Anyways:
- Ward Thomas has a good chunk of songs that I quite like, but this one felt pretty weak. Still like their harmony tho.
- Supernova is my fav by Julia Cole. I like the energy in the song, reminding me of Fight Song by Rachel Platten. Not the most “country” song, however.
- God Gave Me A Girl is fine, it may have to grow on me. I wish Wonder was the next single, but I have to appreciate that She Likes It is gone.
-surprised to see David J’s name here. I like his song Always Never, this one was solid if not memorable.

{A word wall}28. Eh, I appreciate the revealing songwriting but they seem so disjointed. Also the melody is boring. They (pronouns: they/she according to Twitter bio) have better past materials. 27. Lol and I thought this is one of the better Walker Hayes songs with heartfelt content instead of being ad jingles. Maybe peope finally realize he is one of the worst vocalists of all time. 26. Ok, we know you are alive. 25. You know you are a one trick pony when you recycle the same sarcasm ("When they pave all the dirt roads") from your previous single ("all dirt roads were made for paving"). Also the melody is just copy-paste of Country Again. 24. This is decent. Agree the production can be cleaned up, although contemporary country and bad production go hand in hand. 23. This is just a country version of Fight Song (Rachel Platten). 22. Bored of religion-adjacent boyfriend country. Also the "relay" in chorus is not good. 21. Solid cover and good enough for this list. Actually like the CMA Awards live performance more though. 20. Well at least not all of his pop songs are trap-based. It's slightly refreshing to hear him singing basically a new wave song, but that's about it. 19. I am bored by these basic gospel melodies. 18. His vocals are too shaky. 17. Over half of the lines start with either "Ask" or "And". 16. Why is he so preachy these days? At least it has some production and not as boring as the newest single.

30 - I ranked this higher than I should have but I enjoyed Leslie Jordan's part. Nothing I see myself revisiting but I don't think it was the worst thing this month. (that belongs to Morgan Wallen)
29 - I love "Bittersweet Symphony" from The Verve, and I like Aubrie Sellers but her version of this song is awful.
28 - "Exorcist" was awful, I was shocked how bad it was. Thankfully the majority agreed.
27 - Probably my highest ranked Walker Hayes song yet. Don't love it but it was better than some of these other songs
26 - This song was alright but nothing special
25 - I find myself liking Brantley Gilbert less and less. Saw him live a couple years ago and enjoyed the show a lot. This song is awful. Why is Vince Gill doing these trash songs, I expect better from him
24 - "Little Miss" was alright, definitely on the lower end of this list though
23 - "Supernova" I honestly forgot how this one went already lol so I think I overranked it lol.
22 - another trash song from Russell Dickerson that overstayed
21 - Brothers Osborne deserved better. I really enjoy this song, sad to hear others don't like it. I find it fun.
20 - Morgan Wallen needs to go away for good. I will always put him last
19 - I usually really enjoy Mickey Guyton but this one was a huge letdown. Wish it was better
18 - "I Wish I Was" was alright, but leaving here feels right
17 - Craig Morgan has become so hit or miss for me. This one is a huge miss. Vocally he sounds great but the song itself is very bland and I don't care for the lyrics.
16 - this is probably the first song from Jordan Davis I actually like lol. Have never cared for him at all but I like this one, sad it is already out.
Hoping to see Ernest leave soon. Also him and Sam Hunt need to be the only males to miss out on the top 10 that is left, though I highly doubt that'll be the case.
I actually like everything in my Top 16 so I won't be too mad with how things go as long as Ernest and Sam Hunt miss the Top 10.

"Jesus, I'm Jealous" has a really chill vibe to it, and tbh the more I listen to it the less remarkable I find it to be. I'd be curious to hear more from Mackenzie Carpenter though! (She's cute! And has a nice voice of course)

Speaking of unremarkable... The only thing I can confidently say that ERNEST has going for him with this song is that it is not actively horrible. It's also not particularly memorable or enjoyable either though. It'd probably be a big hit though, because it's exactly the sort of boring modern faceless male slower song that radio eats up these days (think "Buy Dirt", "My Boy", etc.)

These last two reveals HURT!
"Jesus, I'm Jealous" was FANTASTIC. Amazing discovery, adored the song and lyrics. Way better than "Hunting Season" which was terrible lol.
I LOVED "Songs We Used To Listen To" way more than I was expecting, fav discovery in this RD! Great song and the lyrics really hit. That's one of my biggest fear in life, songs I love and loved listening to/singing with someone else becoming tainted because I lost that person. lol. Dumb fear but yeah, I find this song highly relatable.

STOP
"Motel on the Moon" is one of Tenille's very best songs, it's gorgeous.
I can't believe "Stoned" is still in while 3 great songs are out back-to back

Once Parker McCollum exits my bottom 10 will be cleared, so that can happen any time now. I Well be happy he's holding on, while great songs are leaving, even tho his vocals sounds like he's singing the song stoned while on his deathbed.

I was definitely surprised to see Tenille not be more of a top 10 contender. This is one of her most solid vocals since she broke through, imo. "Motel On The Moon" is a lot better than "Jealous Of Myself" to me, although I do like that one too. I'm excited to hear her new song with Maddie & Tae that she just announced!! So far I have yet to hear a "smash" from her new era.

I like Stephanie Quayle but "Like She Is" was lowkey terrible lol. Doesn't help that its super generic.
