No preview questions this time lol, but I would guess Cole Swindell, Kane Brown and Rascal Flatts as bottom 5 contenders anyway. At least Single Saturday Night does not have off-beat drum machines as in 20 in a Chevy, but it's still pretty lame. That ultra-short guitar solo lol. Worldwide Beautiful is also a meh song and failed attempt at writing on-topic songs. It's a promo song of his tour to begin with! Shouldn't pretend to be something else. Darkest Sky is something that I wished to like more. The harmonies and stripped-down aproach to channel older country songs are good. The lyrics are kinda there though. Nowadays Rascal Flatts do oversing a lot but this is tolerable, at least the first half. I still have no idea what kind of music Matt Stell wanted to make atm. If I Was A Bar sounds like Luke Combs (specifically, Beer Never Broke My Heart) b-side and it's not a praise. Damn bboat11 literally put Between The Dirt And The Stars here so as to tank it lmao :(. The interpolation of The Rolling Stones' Wild Horses is awesome, and as the album's closer it's appropriate to be this long. It obviously doesn't fit mainstream country listeners' playlist and mindset but it still has its value. Aside from "Brantley Gilbert can't sing" comments, Hard Day is actually a fine song from him. Fine as in I probably won't skip the song if I heard it somehow. Somehow Zac Brown's vocals sound too loud on recent songs (I blame production), and The Man Who Loves You The Most is no exception. And the melody is just speed-up version of My Old Man. Jason Reeves from Gone West has some of horrible vocals I have ever heard. And please stop modeling yourselves to Lady A (band) by writing half-assed break up songs...like When To Say Goodbye. Idk but the chorus of The World Goes On sounds like a popular 2000s country song sung by a woman (Who I Am? Not really sure but...). But it's understandable mainstream country listeners want more songs that sound like 2000s instead of now...

Also Eric Church is definitely getting 2nd highest SD here. I won't be surprised he is #10 because Pulse.

Our #10 is not Eric Church! "Footprints On The Moon" was actually not nearly as strong of a contender as I thought it would be. Based on the way this song performed, plus "Got Me"'s horrible placement last month, I'd say that Gabby appears to be more polarizing among Pulse's country fans than most of her fellow new female peers.

"Build Me A Daddy" is our first song to feature multiple #1s lost, with someguy, tim, and lady𝓐fan being the unfortunate victims here. This song is pretty good.........for Luke Bryan. That still doesn't mean a whole lot, lmao. This did about as well as it needed to.

"A Good Place To Turn Around" was NOT a top 10 contender here. It was such a weak performer it was honestly in the bottom 4 for much of the middle of the submissions. It got a second wind thanks to lady𝓐fan and SHOOTER 's back-to-back top 5 ranks, and continued to climb from that point forward. I think this song has a lot of potential, and I would probably love it....if it weren't for the absolutely HORRIBLE mixing!! This sounds like it was produced by the same deaf intern who produced Jo Dee's Christmas album.

My #1!!!! RIP!!!
"Just For Now" is very reminiscent of Maren's first album to me, which is very welcome imo. It's not amazing, but it resonated with me the most out of anything in this list. After a bit of a rough start, this song managed to climb for most of the submission process. It was appearing to be a strong top 5 contender near the end, until the last couple lists knocked it out.

Josh Turner has one of the best and coolest voices in country music. This song shows off what a strong high range he has more than anything! If you pay attention when Chris Janson is singing, there are several moments where Josh is behind him doing belted high harmonies like a professional tenor The man has absolutely no limits. This song itself, however, is not one that I will find myself revisiting a whole lot. I look forward to ranking more new songs from his new album in upcoming months though, cause I'm sure there will be better than this!!

So excited to see Randall get some love here! I don't know anything about him, but I am super impressed by his sound! THIS is the natural evolution of the George Strait/Alan Jackson sound that is sorely missing from the modern country music industry. It honestly sounds like a song I could have heard George himself singing. I will be eagerly following this guy's career. It would be awesome if he could break through into the mainstream country industry! d3vin44 loses his last place here, so now there are no more last places left

I don't know much about Kylie Frey, but I am really digging what I have heard so far! "One Night In Tulsa" in the Female Flops of 2019 rankdown is epic, and this one is up there too! I'd love to see her start getting more success!

Also Eric Church is definitely getting 2nd highest SD here. I won't be surprised he is #10 because Pulse. Well, the first part was correct!!! However, you (and most people probably) severely underestimated this song's competitive ability!! "Stick That In Your Country Song" was a HUGE force in this rankdown, staying in the top 4 for the entire submission process. It was a consistent #1 contender for awhile also. This one's trajectory was actually super similar to Martina's in the last rankdown, lol. FOUR people lose their #1 here, while .indulgecountry finally loses his second-to-last place.

I do not think anyone will be surprised to see Mickey's "Black Like Me" in the winner's position... Not only is she a Pulse fave because her voice is friggin' amazing, but this song is also SO timely and important right now. Our country is in a really dark place these days, and it is SO important for the voices and perspectives of minorities to be heard and listened to. I am glad this song has managed to bring a lot of attention to Mickey, even if radio is not going to touch it! I still NEED her big breakthrough to come...

The only correct winner! Go Mickey! "Black Like Me" is immaculate. What a perfect song lyrically, instrumentally, vocally, emotionally.... total package.

That was the song I expected to win. However I am pleasantly stunned that Church came in 3rd. I didn't expect it to make the top 10.
