This all-star collaboration may not be specifically country, but it features legendary female favorites Dolly Parton and Sara Evans, so I felt it was easily worth including here. The melody is great, the message is important, and all of the vocalists all sound incredible together. What more could you want!

Not usually a big fan of these types of cheesy collaborative charity songs, but "Pink" is just a fantastic composition all around and all parties sound incredible, solo and together.

Aw, I loved the Tiera song. It goes without saying at this point that I'm not a Lee Brice fan, but he's been coming thru with melody between "Memory I Don't Mess With" and "One of Them Girls." I might actually have to give his album a listen... which is something I NEVER thought I'd do with Lee Brice. "Hold Me Back" is good, but it's a little... drab. One might say, something was holding it back. lol couldn't resist. Still, I appreciate the direction Parker is going with his music. "Young Man's Blues" remains incredible. I really loved "Pink" and am sad it couldn't make it a bit higher! It's gorgeous. All involved did wonderful with it too!

"I Don't Mind" was our first primary #1 contender, thanks to Darkest Hour's #1 and tim's #2 coming right at the beginning. It lost ground pretty quickly as it turned out to be a fairly polarizing song. Bluegrass isn't really my thing, but I kinda dig this one a lot! The melody is very pleasant. And call me crazy, but I hear a little bit of George Jones in Sturgill's vocal delivery here!

Jon Pardi's voice isn't for everyone, which I think must be a substantial factor in why this song got held back a bit in the end. "Beer Light" has a classic country vibe to it that sounds sooooo refreshing to fans of George Strait, Alan Jackson, etc. who miss this style being in the mainstream. Unfortunately George Strait Junkie is the 4th person to lose a #1 too early, but even more unfortunately Darkest Hour loses his #2 immediately after losing his #1 Despite the low ranks from the likes of SHOOTER and castleoblivion26 , this song was pretty much always on pace to finish within or just baaaaarely outside of the top 10. Those who have been jilted by its loss can thank Kanenrá:ke for knocking it down to the lowest position it ever occupied with the very final list...

Caitlyn Smith has always intrigued me. I don't know anything about her at all, but I do know that her album covers are always sooooooooo beautiful and creative and memorable and on-point!
"I Can't" felt really bland to me at first, but I felt like it would still be a good idea to honor Caitlyn's new music. Especially because we got a two-for-one deal with Old Dominion! I always like when we get to include popular artists who haven't been featured before.
And tbh, this song has grown on me probably the most out of any other song in this list! It's still not going to become a go-to for me or anything, but it is definitely one I felt comfortable putting in my top 10!

I absolutely LOVE the melody of "I Can't!" I'm not the biggest Old Dominion fan either, but this is a great song.
Damn y'all, "All The Good Ones Are" is such a jam. The Brothers Osborne are very consistent with their jams lol, they've become one of my fav country acts over the past couple years.

I do like "All the Good Ones Are", and have liked all of their new material the past few months. But I was never that much of a Brothers Osborne fan to begin with, and tbh I am getting tired of them showing up in my playlists all the time like they have been lately... Lol they drew out this pre-release for a bit too long for my liking. I'm looking forward to taking a break from them for a a few months until castleoblivion26 hosts a rankdown for their new album :)

Fun fact about Caitlyn Smith: I have seen her live twice and didn’t even mean to. I like her music a lot and I think she deserves more recognition!

Found It In You is decent. Doesn't really stand out. Memory I Don't Mess With is growing on me, particularly the chorus, even though it's Rumor 2.0. Like Hold Me Back mainly because of Jessi Alexander's harmony. Probably the highest rank I would give to a Parker McCollum song ever lol. Everyone in Pink sounds good. It would be funny if Cuttin' Grass Vol. 1 is nominated in Best Bluegrass Album in Grammys next year. The lonesome feeling is captured very well in Sturgill's delivery and lyrics. Beer Light is also amazing wtf. Jon Pardi sings it the best as he can and Jeff Hyde's still the one in mainstream to go to for great melodies and lyrics. Tbh when Caitlyn Smith announced the remix of I Can't I have no idea I heard that song before. Also Matthew Ramsey's voice is so boring to listen to, and Old Dominion has no hype whatsoever. Would probably perform a bit better on charts if they pick someone that has some kind of hypes instead (maybe Parker McCollum?). Also bboat11 you embedded the original version. Here's the remix. All The Good Ones Are is quite fun, although I feel the solo in this song (and a lot of songs in Skeletons) is abbreviated.

Parker McCollum can do not wrong with me (and he can also do everything wrong with me :kii: ). Sad that he couldn't make it at least into the Top 15 this month, because this entire Hollywood Gold EP is...well, gold. (couldn't resist lol).
Rooting for Maren; that song is timely and poignant and country listeners (that aren't us--I'm talking the ones who think the celebrations of Biden's win were hypocritical, or who think masks are oppression, or who think BLM is a terrorist organization) needed that swift musical kick between the eyes.

I think there must be some Brothers Osborne fatigue settling into these monthly rankdowns because I fully expected "All The Good Ones Are" to be a top 10 contender this time around, especially considering that both of their previous songs "Skeltons" and "I'm Not for Everyone" both made the top 5. This seemed to be the one song everyone was raving about when the album finally dropped and I still think it'll be the hit of the album (assuming there's still room for them at country radio). I was a huge fan of their first two albums and am finding that this one may end up being my least favorite from them thus far, but all in all it's still a solid record.
I'm pleasantly surprised to see Sturgill's "I Don't Mind" make the top 15 because he's quite the polarizing figure here in the country forum on Pulse. I wasn't sure what to expect when he said he was going to be releasing a bluegrass album, but knowing him being the perfectionist that he is I knew that it was likely going to be good. He didn't disappoint either because Cuttin' Grass is fantastic and I'd even say it's one of the best country releases of the year. There were a handful of songs that I just couldn't imagine them re-recording as bluegrass with "Breakers Roar", "Turtles All the Way Down", and "All Around You" being a few examples, but I ended up really liking the alternate takes. It's quite something that he went from releasing the loud and in-your-face Sound & Fury only to follow that up with a bluegrass album, but I think he sounds most at home in that genre which should come as no surprise since he hails from Kentucky.

"All the Good Ones Are" is the best Bros Osborne song I've heard from one of these rankdowns, but it still landed at the bottom of my list due to this being such a strong month.

Ingrid's style has been far from immediate for me, but "Feeling Things" worked from the moment I heard it! Something about the "I'm alright, I'm alright, yeah I said I'm alright" opening line just grabs your soul and pulls you in to see what is about to happen next. That melody is perfect, and her soft delivery of it is to die for!
After how well "The Stranger" and "Waste Of Lime" did in this, I consider this to be a bit of an underperformance, which is disappointing because this is easily my favorite thing I have heard from her so far :'(

"We Didn't Have Much" is such a melodically pleasant song Easily one of my favorite things I have ever heard from Justin Moore! Usually I find his twang to sound rather put-on and unnecessarily over-the-top, but it works perfectly on this song. This has been stuck in my head for days. I hope it's a hit for him! Should have done much better here, but then again it is a pretty strong month...

You've probably noticed that #1s are dropping like flies at this point! This time it comes at the expense of ClevelandRox. Dierks Bentley's new lead single has had a somewhat mixed reception on Pulse so far. In the single thread, everybody has either loved it or hated it. So it should come as no surprise that it is leaving right about here, with a last place as well as a #1. I don't mind this! I think it is pretty catchy, and I am liking it more every time I hear it.
