This is easily the worst version of "Hard Candy Christmas" I have ever heard. And it performed accordingly! This song that has always won Christmas rankdowns for its original artist or finished in the top 5 for its cover artists, was a constant bottom 5 contender here. It only got a single last place rank though from someguy, so most of us can agree it's not the worst song on this list... It just happened to be unlucky enough to get the right combination of lower ranks to sink it below the rest of the list. |

This version of "Please Come Home For Christmas" isn't bad to me. I actually like the more calming, relaxed vibe of it at first. It feels like a bold artistic statement on a song that is usually recorded much more uptempo and loud. The problem is that that energy level does not sustain my interest for the entire song. By the end it feels kinda boring, which was enough to sink it to the lower regions on my list. In the end I will always prefer Martina's more uptempo, classic-rock-leaning take on this. Gary Allan's is pretty good too. That being said, this song had no #20s, so two songs in only one person has lost their last place. Several people are probably starting to wonder when tf their last place will be leaving!!  |

I actually found "Merry, Merry Christmas Baby" to be pretty strong! The big-band arrangement is really well-done, and the song has a palpable energy to it that makes it endearing and likable to me. Also, I am amazed at how well Ronnie's voice is aging! Sure he sounds a little thin and strained in places, but tbh he doesn't sound much different from how he always did to me. There are some hard high notes here, and he hits them confidently and easily. I was in the minority with this song however, as it got bottom 5 ranks from more than half of us Still once again only a single last place rank though, this time from .indulgecountry! |

"Jingle Bell Drunk" was probably the most unfairly hated song in this rankdown... I agree that RaeLynn is not the best vocalist, but in the case of this song I am 100% confident that y'all just tanked it because of her voice rather than the song itself. If this was sung by someone like Maren Morris it would have been an easy top 10 contender for its sassy vibe.

"Take Me Home For Christmas" is actually quite catchy to me! However, lately the more I listen to Dan + Shay, the more I hear them screaming "crossover act". They need to hurry up and transition fully to pop, because they have all but abandoned the pretense of being country artists at this point. "Take Me Home For Christmas" shits all over "I Should Probably Go To Bed" at least. ClevelandRox has the first #1 loss of the rankdown unfortunately :( At least that's not all that unusual for him in these monthly rankdowns, so it probably stings a little less 😂 |

"Feeling Like Christmas" is a song that I thought was kinda silly at first (especially the repeated "rum-pum-pum-pum" part), but the infectious energy of the song has kinda won me over more and more over the course of the month. The song seems to perfectly capture the energy of being in love around Christmas time. Hopefully I can relate to it better next year 😂
Fun story, I got free tickets to a "New artist showcase" type of show a couple years back. The lineup was Olivia Lane, Drew Baldridge, Brooke Eden, and LANCO. I only really cared about Brooke Eden (and LANCO were kinda cool because "Greatest Love Story" was a huge hit at the time so they actually had a bit of starpower built up).
I didn't know a whole lot about Olivia Lane going into it, but she ended up being the only artist I have ever seen in concert who was very obviously inebriated 😂 She kept trying to make jokes and talk to the crowd but the whole thing just felt super lame. She was a mess! You also couldn't tell a single word she was singing either, but that's more of a sound system issue. I'd give her another chance of course, cause she has a pretty nice voice! I felt kinda bad for her if anything 😂

Not upset by anything else but "Feeling Like Christmas." Lol what?! I love Olivia Lane's voice. Don't know who she is, so she must be another one from Tiktok, but I hope there's more from her (does anybody know if that's the case?). Aside from Priscilla Block, the women of Tiktok country have consistently impressed me with incredible songs and powerful voices. I hope Olivia is one of those who can break out into stardom in the future!
Dan + Shay are just so damn vanilla. And truth be told, they've always been faceless imo. To this day I only love "Keeping Score" and that's mainly thanks to Kelly Clarkson. I also like "I Should Probably Go to Bed" but that's of course very eh.

Kassi's version of "Hard Candy Christmas" was painful to listen to. I was surprised how bad it was tbh
Dan + Shay just continues to get more and more boring. This song was definitely more tolerable than "I Should Probably Go To Bed" (which makes me go to bed)
I hated Olivia Lane's voice and that made it very hard for me to get into her song so I definitely think it overstayed.
Where TF is Florida Georgia Line's trashy song. I hated that and no matter how many times I listened to it I couldn't get into it at all.
