This is a cute song and it might grow on me more if I listen to it a few more times. I still prefer NRO & HIH over this.
I wish the video had more to it but there’s not much you can do during a pandemic. I’m just happy that Katy is finally in a good place. Happy with a fiancé and a baby on the way.

This is a disappointment :/. It's not quite Small Talk levels but it feels messy to me. The way she screams the title word is very off-putting lol

The screaming in the chorus is a bit off-putting.
Overall, this is very expected Katy honestly. Very expected in the sense it sounds like Roar, Never Really Over, Rise, and most of her HAC/AC output. Self-inspirational and harmless.

Is cute. The guitar reminds me to other song but I can't pintpoint it exactly.

I'm… disappointed. Damn, I was really hoping she would pull another NRO.

It doesn't hit the way a lead should, but it's cute. I really like her voice on this.

I like it. It’s cute. The song doesn’t go anywhere though. She looks a little crazy in the video lol.

I'm going to echo the sentiment that it doesn't feel like lead single material. I think it would make a perfectly good album track but I'm not sure what led her team to think this was the best choice to lead off the album with. Maybe the whole album is going for the sound that "Daisies" is going for? In terms of chart success I think she's more headed in a Kelly Clarkson/P!nk direction where the success is more focused on HAC.
I'm actually liking this more organic sounding direction from her on first listen - I'm intrigued to hear more from her. Now that doesn't preclude me from wanting another "Never Really Over"/"Harleys in Hawaii" type song because I want that from her too (even if HIH wasn't exactly my thing).

At least it's better than Small Talk...
5.5/10 (Would have been 6.5/10 if it didn't have that offputting scream at the end of the chorus.)

This is an ok song but she can do better than this. She needed something on the level of Never Really Over, but this song is not it.

after multiple listens listening on good headphones...
this is really good. The verses sound amazing. Very catchy. It's like Unconditionally's big sister. It's understandable why it's sent to HAC right away. Perfect for the format. Don't see too much Pop success. Fingers crossed.
It's great tho, it's a real grower. Has lots of long-lasting replay value the way the best Pink/Kelly Clarkson songs have.
Wish the lead was more upbeat, but it's still really, really good. Very proud of her.

On first listen it's the first song she's released for a while with a decent chorus, so kudos to her for that. I would agree that it doesn't sound like a lead, except I don't know whst Pop fans want these days.

It sounds like something she would have recorded for Prism. The meaning and inspiration behind this is great but I don't think the song itself is anything special.

Her best song since "Dark Horse", it has a strong finished pop song production and vocals feeling, this might be huge when accepted by public, because it's a definite grower. The best part is her vocals really, excellent work done!

This is boring. Will probably do decently on HAC but pop won’t touch this.

Her best song since the PRISM era. I love it.
Her old material was so dependent on Dr.Luke, it was always going take her awhile to find her sound without that machine. I feel like it’s the most authentic thing she’s released in recent memory.
I’m in.

Better than “Small Talk” but there are major glottal attack issues with the vocals.... especially when she sings “I.” This is not on the level of “Never Really Over.” And it is not single material, let alone a lead single.

Hmm, I'm on the fence. It seems like a mix of Anne Marie's "Don't Leave Me Alone" and something from PRISM...
It's cute though, harmless and cute.

I like this and it's pleasant, but it just doesn't feel all that special. It doesn't feel like a single. It is many steps above "Small Talk" and "Save As Draft."

I love this! I think it's a great song to start out with after Witness, a memorable chorus that gets stuck in your head especially the "Cover me in daisies, daisies, daises" part. It's not the most single-worthy song but I think it's def her best personally if you don't count NRO.
Lots of replay value too. I can see it being an organic hit.
Also the vinyls are already sold out!
