This is really good, I didn't find this boring like I expected to based on the reactions. My only complaint is it feels like it's missing some harder percussion/drums.

I love this!! Especially the shouting in the chorus. I prefer Never Really Over and Harleys In Hawaii, but I can’t wait to hear all three in an album. Let’s just forget that Small Talk existed. These three songs feel like old Katy and I love it.. I don’t think this will do all that well on the charts but I don’t care, I still love it

I think it's pretty clear by the song and the video that Katy isn't making music to get big hits and #1's now. She is making it because it's what she loves to do. She's found her lane now after the chaotic era that was Witness and is just doing her thing. I honestly don't see this even hitting top 20 on the Hot 100. Top 40 would be fine, but I'm trying not to have any expectations.
I like the song, but seeing her seem so happy and content is what sells this for me. It's no Teenage Dream or E.T, but it's a cute lil harmless song. Good for you Katy.

It's a nice song. Not as instant to me as NRO but it's better than anything off Witness for sure.
Also it's way more HAC than Pop so I can see why they're putting their focus there.

I think this performs similarly to "Mr. Know It All" at best.
EDIT: I like it.

I like it. Maybe not a Hot 100 smash but it’s a damn good song.

Obsessed, listening on repeat and its vibe is just so beautiful The production is on point especially in the verses, this could have an outro though No clue how this'll perform

I didn't love this at first. But then I remembered that this was being serviced to HAC first, and that she actively wants to fit into the HAC crowd of P!nk and Kelly Clarkson.
With that in mind, it definitely feels more... digestible I guess. The instrumental is pretty and the quieter moments are nothing short of ethereal.

Way better than "Small Talk" but NRO and Harleys were more interesting as singles.

Oh wow, the "Don't Leave Me Alone" comparison was spot on. The hook melody is very similar.
The song is so feel good. I definitely think she got the "modern pop HAC" style better than Kelly and Pink did in their latest efforts. It'll probably grow on me even more after repeated listens.

I love it. I just kinda wish that the shouting at the end of the chorus wasn't... idk, it felt a bit off? i guess i wish it wasn't full on shouting and more high pitched

^I don’t wanna get too overhyped for Daisies but Chris oversaw the rollout of the Teenage Dream era, so I wanna say he knows what he’s talking about. well...

One of my biggest issues with the Witness album was a lot of the lyrics felt really awkward. I think we had a discussion on here about it at the time - I think it was Cynthia or something who shared what Teenage Dream’s chorus was supposed to be never Bonne McKee got involved on the song. Thankfully, this, Never Really Over, Harleys In Hawaii feel much smoother and the lyrics less jarring (e.g. “like a wasted zombie” in Chained In The Rhythm)
I also don’t understand the comparison to The One That Got Away at all

This is really beautiful. It should be a good way to introduce her back to her Teenage Dream fanbase. In terms of the streaming-era kids, I don't think that's the segment she should target herself at at this point of her career.

I love this. Very different than I was expecting. I wish there was an outro on the song
