Nick: never totally loved Madonna but this is a solid track! it’s got a nice bouncy beat and some well written lyrics. I like it! (8.2)

Samo: Yes! The quality of Madonna’s hits is...inconsistent, but when she gets it right, you get some of the best pop music of its decade, and this might be my favourite song from her. Of the longer songs here, this one definitely does the best job of hiding its runtime with some fantastic lyrics and a danceable beat. (9.8)

Adrian: I don't consider myself a big Madonna fan, but I can't deny that this song is an amazing jam and up there as one of Madonna's best songs. Her vocals are really good here. But the production is simply immaculate. It's such a fun tune that holds up really well with time. I love the message behind the song. I also love the gay anthem representation here, especially during Pride Month! "Vogue" is one of the best in my opinion and was definitely a high point in Madonna's career. (9.5)

Nick: first of all lmao at Daryl sending a Kendrick song behind Mylo’s back - sneaky sneaky! With that said, this is a great track! I like the story that’s told with the lyrics, and Kendrick of course delivers a great performance here. overall, just a very solid track, even if sending it probably goes against your teammate’s wishes haha (9.2)

Samo: Like a lot of Kendrick’s songs, I respect this a lot more than I like it, but it’s still a good song, just not one I see myself returning to. (8.4)

Leaf: I felt almost the same about both Kendrick songs here. Instrumentally, though, I did like this one a tad more. (7.9)

Trilogy: Prime Kendrick appears on this song, the good lyrics (maybe the best on To Pimp A Butterfly) in makes it gleam. (9.5)

Nick: this song is incredible. I love me some Elton, and this is amongst my favorite singles of his. the piano work, the vocals, the lyrics - all of it is just immaculate. an absolute classic that I’m so glad got sent - hope it brings you two some success here. (10)

Samo: This definitely stands out among the more traditional dance tracks here, but it’s also not one of my personal favourites. The lyrics are pretty great, but I just don’t find the instrumentation that interesting, especially for a song this long. (7.9)

Adrian: Sir Elton John is and always will be one of the most talented musicians of all time. He is incredible and this song is a prime example of why. It's a soft rock ballad and it's gorgeous all the way through. The song is beautifully-written. The instrumentation is fantastic. The vocals are extraordinary. It's over 6 minutes, but it doesn't even feel like it because it has the ability to capture your undivided attention and the song length just becomes irrelevant. I have a hard time finding any flaws here because the song is borderline perfect. (9.8)

Nick:  this is very Tame Impala haha. I certainly like their sound though, so no complaints here! I do think that this is one of the stronger tracks I’ve heard from them, due in no small part to the very nice vocal melodies. great track! (8.8)

Samo: The main riff is really good here, but the rest of the song doesn’t do much for me, making this above average among their other songs I’ve heard, but nothing exceptional. (7.3)

Leaf: I knew Rihanna's cover of this (which is literally the same, apart from who's singing) before the original. It was one of my favourites off its album, so naturally I quite like the original too. The trippy vibe alone makes this a well-spent 6 minutes. (8.9)

Trilogy: How... ethereal. I relistened to this and I never caught on to how channeled this was. Yeah, definitely missed out on this when I first listened to Currents. Great song. (8.0)

Nick: this one never quite clicked with me the way it seemed to with everyone else during the last Madness tournament haha. I was just never overly fond of the vocal melodies, though the production’s alright. not a bad song, but not one I ever really want to return to (6.1)

Samo: This was another really good March Madness discovery, and one I’m really glad was submitted here, even if I don’t quite love it. The chorus is really catchy, and the verses are nice, just not particularly memorable. (8.6)

Albie: ok yass she’s cute. Giving an extra half point for being the only song I didn’t know and being good. (8.5)

Adrian: This song was literally just a Top 20 debut on my personal chart and is one of my favorite discoveries from this year's March Madness tournament. I think a lot of modern day pop music leans more towards the generic side of things. But "About Work The Dancefloor" is unique. It's a fun banger from start to end. The production is amazing and I love the song's chorus. The "I was just thinking about work the dancefloor" is so infectious and always gets stuck in my head. I love the song and I'm so happy it was chosen! (9.4)

Nick: this is better than I remembered honestly haha. I think there’s a pretty novel lyrical concept going on which I can totally respect. i find the vocal melody in the chorus quite soothing, though i don’t adore the verses. overall, a solid song, but not my favorite thing in the world (8.0)

Samo: These are some of my favourite lyrics from Billie, and they’re backed up by some beautiful production. I always liked this one a lot, but it properly clicked with me this time, boosting it by a couple of points. (9)

Leaf: I found the instrumental complements Billie's vocals and lyrics well. I never did listen to this song's parent album in full, but I definitely have to get on it if this is any indication of its quality. (8.8)

Trilogy: This is definitely an engagingly beautiful song objectively, but it hasn't really help up compared to other songs on her debut. I don't know, maybe I'm discovering too much new chamber pop. Still, it's a really good for what it does. (7.0)

Gabe: I love this song and I’ve been getting into it recently but there is just no reason for this to be almost 5 minutes long. I feel like this crawls along a little too slowly for me. But it’s definitely a song I enjoy and don’t ever skip. (8)
