The song title alone probably did it, it's a pretty smart move imo - Tim McGraw had been a staple name in country music for about a decade at that point coming off of one of his biggest albums (Live You Like You Were Dying). It also led to her having a moment at the 2007 ACM Awards singing this song in front of Tim McGraw (and potentially "Highway Don't Care" but that probably had more to do with them being on the same label at the time) But Taylor Swift herself apparently didn't think it was single material at first so...

how do you feel about your time in the race?

APM: It was more than enough for me. I was never really committed to the game and just wanted to have fun. Ngl I felt a bit pressured both by Nick and rom, but maybe that's just because I might have anxiety lol. We actually got knocked out at the prefect time cuz now I'm gonna go on vacation for a weekend. Hasta la vista!

rom: well we didnt get eliminated before gabe and preds so its a victory for me


do you think you could've/should've done anything different?

APM: If I would've cheated that could've kept us in the game. I wrote the cheaters' playbook, but just never used it.

rom: personally i wish i wouldve known who was judging the legs so i would send in songs they would like.


any predictions?

APM: Stay strapped or get clapped. If you aren't ready for everything (stay strapped), you'll get clapped i.e. knocked out of the race.

rom: mild dislikers of justin bieber are going to take it home. matt and nooks make such powerful moves together

Leg 6: Dubai & Istanbul




Challenge #1: Detour (Dubai)
What is a detour? In these challenges, two themes will be available, and teams will choose to send a song for the one they feel more confident in. Be sure to specify which theme you are sending for
Detour Theme: Big Building or Big Money
Big Building: Within Dubai lies the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower which stands above everything else in Dubai. For this detour, you must send another song that towers above others, namely one that is over 7 minutes long.
OR
Big Money: Many locals in Dubai are quite rich, with people having sports cars, exotic animals, and more, including luxury items such as diamonds. For this song, you must send a song that has been certified diamond.

Challenge #2: Roadblock (Istanbul)
What is a roadblock? In these challenges, only one member of the team can come up with a song to send. No consulting. You'll be on the honor system here. Send in your group pm who will do this road block. They will then without consulting their teammate see the theme and send the song in individual pms.
tl;dr only one person sends a song, pick who that is in the group pms, then and only then they see the theme

Optional Challenge: Fast Forward (Istanbul)
What is a fast forward? This is an optional bonus challenge. If you finish first, you automatically receive 15 extra points for the leg, all but solidifying a win for you. However, if you do not get first, then you receive a -3 penalty on your final score. Tell us if you want to play and then we will tell you the theme. There is no penalty or bonus if you choose not to play it

consult with your teammate and get your songs in within 36 hours or else your team will NOT have a song in that category and will get an automatic 0/10. Feel free to ask myself and Samo any and all questions you may have. The world is waiting for you. Travel safe. Go!
