I think her team is one of the best in the industry right now. Not when it comes to pushing her singles, they're not. They started off well with Don't Start Now, but they've missed it since then. There's no reason why Levitating shouldn't be the single being pushed right now. It's a perfect summer bop. What have they messed up since? Break My Heart is still going and looks to be another #1 on pop for her. Releasing anything else in the US right now might cannibalize BMH. |

Physical hit top10 in most markets where it was a single, BMH all things considered is also a solid choice. Not even her team could have predicted Don't Start Now to be spending its 250th day still inside the Worldwide Spotify's top10, right? Don't Start Now and Physical were smart choices as singles, but the single that should have been pushed after that is Levitating, not Break My Heart. Levitating would have peaked on radio and on the charts in the apex of summer. Harry Styles' team was smart. They started pushing Watermelon Sugar and now it's grown into a solid summer hit. |

I think out of all the pop stars who have released an album in the past year, Harry Styles has been the smartest in terms of maximizing his album's era by timely pushing the right singles. He's already scored bigger hits off this album than his last album. Adore You peaked at #6 and Watermelon Sugar is blasting into the top 10 come Monday. |

It seems to be less about his lead singles not being good and more about him not having a fanbase that goes hard for him when he drops stuff. I have to imagine it's somewhat frustrating for him not being able to get any of his own singles to take off. |

Lol. Dua has a fantastic team behind her. They just re-aired her "Break My Heart" performance from April on the Tonight Show on NBC. Right as she's knocking on the Top 20 door. It is yet unclear whether "Hallucinate" is getting a US radio push, but after the music video on July 10th, if there is interest, I'm guessing they might give it an adds date later in the month or in August, and slowly build its way up pop radio, coinciding with "Break My Heart"s descent. thegreatdivine in my opinion, Dua's team has been one of, if not THE BEST team in handling the pandemic promo, while being respectful to the American civil rights fight, and at the same time having a juggernaut of a single that has been refusing to leave pop radio top ten. I don't see "Cool" succeeding in the US market, and "Hallucinate" is the most successful album track in the European market, so I don't think it is the team's responsibility to account for whether you/any fan feels like "Hallucinate" is not summery enough. |

My thinking is why the songs they had Dua make so she could have summer jams on her albums aren't being pushed right now when it's summer time. I understand that the goal of her team is to pick singles that end up being hits for her and I know that the opinion of one fan won't change what they end up doing. I'm assuming her team is trying to set her up to be the next worldwide global superstar so they're just trying to always keep people fed with her music and having her name in their ears. If she can secure this collab with Madonna she could have the next DSN or New Rules. Madonna is def not the streaming force she used to be, but just the power of her name alone with probably the second biggest female pop streaming force next to her would be a surefire hit. |

Dua has a good team. They are successfully keeping her core European fanbase fed while giving the US slices so she can grow prominence here. Her crossover to the US mainstream has been going very smoothly through this approach.
