Post Malone and Doja Cat share one similarity and that is that they have crossover Pop hits. Most of Doja Cat's songs are rap, she's just more versatile than your average rapper and thats why people lump her with pure pop singers. 

You shouldn't have to only rap in every single one of your songs to be considered a rapper. A lot of times females will have to succumb to versatility in their songs if they want to get big, just because rap is a very male-dominated genre.
