yaa that makes sense. some examples i can think of (tho not soundtrack -> studio album): - senorita. released in 2019, added to shawn mendes's album from 2018 then added to camila's album - fefe. added to nicki's album for a week then added to 6ix9nines album - girls need love remix. added to Last day of summer mixtape then to studio album All of these are non problems for RIAA certifications. Why? Because a song can count for the certification of 1 album. The label decides weather Shawn or Camila benefit from Senorita.
Billboard 200 on the other hand has Π
HIT rules. It adds the streams of Senorita to the album that sold more that week.
Example Romance sells 8K, Shawn Mendes sells 7.5K, Senorita counts for Camilla's album. Next week Romance sells 8K, Shawn Medes sells 8.5K, Senorita counts for Shawn's album

Smells like a top10 for me if they push it

oh ya, i dont have a problem with moving songs between albums. was just curious to see if this practice has increased in the streaming era

Probably wonβt get the streaming numbers for a reentry but Devil Went Down to Georgia is number one on iTunes.

Question:
Based on current trajectories, who is in the running for Male and Female YE artists?
Male: Roddy Ricch, The Weeknd, Da Baby?
Female: Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga?
I presume Drake is a possibility especially if he releases another studio album and itβs a big hit. Among women, Adele isnβt releasing in September anymore and perhaps not until 2021 and no oneβs particularly sure about Rihanna.

I doubt that's how it works. I would think it could count for one album per artist. Especially if they're on different labels, they would never be able to agree who gets the credit.

Really sucks that Ty$'s new song is nowhere to be seen
Hope Juice's new song does well, should the Halsey feature help it on radio?

^ I mean, Roddy isn't lead on "ROCKSTAR" and hasn't replaced himself at #1 to rule for 26 weeks straight. But he's having a wonderful year regardless.

With the Pop Smoke album bomb, we're finally gonna say goodbye to P*$$Y Fairy, hot girl bummer, Nobody but You, and Memories, though In Your Eyes may also get pushed.

How did Rain On Me only rise 5k on a Sunday to Monday scenario Itβll probably stabilize a bit lower on the streaming charts while rising on the radio, itβs pretty natural for a pop song at this point in its run

Guess it's been bleeding for a while then.. if it indeed smashes on radio, I see a sorta Intentions run for it

Watermelon Sugar even lose Sun-Mon, day-to-day changes could be pretty much anything... Weekly trends are more recognizable.
ROM is losing streams though but quite slowly.

Roddy Ricch = Black Eyed Peas in 2009 Heβs been at #1 for 15 weeks in total this year Roddy Ricch = Kesha in 2010. An artist who blew up in the first year of a decade and ends up with the biggest hit of the year and five year-end appearances. Granted, it isn't a perfect comparison, none of Roddy's hits have been bad, while Blah Blah Blah is one of the worst hits of the entire 2010s decade (and My First Kiss ain't too far behind in awfulness). Let's hope that Roddy doesn't face the same things Kesha has.
