Hamilton could do big numbers this week. Hopefully top 5 on the Billboard 200.

Drake is oversaturated as hell. He scores Top 40 hits now based on his name alone, something that Lil Baby obviously can't do. How is he oversaturated? Tell that to all the success he keeps seeing. Also, every artist scores hits based on their name eventually. The same will happen to Lil Baby if his career lasts long enough. What success is there from releasing mediocre songs that enter the top 40 and then leave the chart after 2 weeks? Drake is very successful but his music is oversaturated.

Yeah Drake is way too oversaturated for me. Probably won't even listen to his next single.

You're referring to album bombs and that happens to every person who gets an album bomb so I don't get your point. His singles don't leave the chart after two weeks. He might be oversaturated to you but he's still very successful and he won't stop releasing music anytime soon. Sorry.

Age restricted Latin song, I'd be surprised if it even debuts Top 40 tbh, especially given how poorly TROLLZ did on streaming services. This won't have the sales either. Maybe the YT views will get it there?

How is he oversaturated? Tell that to all the success he keeps seeing. Wouldn't that be oversaturation by definition? Well technically, no. Because there is still high demand for his music (as we all are well aware).
We can't use the "market saturation definition", but saturation in the music world would be when an artist has so much new music that fans don't want anymore songs (or atleast most of them). Then we can say that the artist has saturated his fans / his market with too much music.
From my standpoint, Drake has saturated quite a few casual fans, but a larger number will still listen to his new songs (and want new songs). Drake has not saturated his diehard fans (which is normal every big fan of any artiist wants more music from their favourite artist, so it is expected).
So overall, has Drake oversaturated the music market ? ? No (atleast not most of it), because as i said in the first sentence "there is still high demand for his music".

Oversaturated or not, Drake's recent releases feels very half-assed and cynical due to the fact knowing that his songs will become big with his name alone, which explains his dip in quality. Listen to Toosie Slide, a lot of people know that he isn't trying anymore, he has the access to expensive studio equipment and chose to make a song that a 5 year old can make in 3 minutes and the folks at TikTok will eat it like dog food.

I think "YAYA" debuted very low on iTunes. Very. The video is at 6.2 mil right now.

Pop Smoke now has 16 songs above Rockstar and 17 above We Paid on AM. Again, I think this album will reach 200 million streams this week barring any huge collapse.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this:
Well first of all I don't think anyone here actually WANTS to mention 6ix9ine, and second his latin songs don't tend to do as well on the Hot 100

He might be oversaturated to you but he's still very successful and he won't stop releasing music anytime soon. Sorry. I know he won’t stop releasing music anytime soon. You gotta realize that Drake has had 7 or 8 album bombs, if not more. 8 songs off IYRTITL charted. 10 songs off WATTBA charted. 18 songs off Views charted. All 22 songs off More Life charted. All 25 songs off Scorpion charted. 6 songs off Care Package charted. 14 songs off DLDT charted. Only 1 song off IYRTITL charted in the top 40. Only 1 song off WATTBA charted in the top 40. With the exception of the songs that were pushed as singles, only 3 songs debuted in the top 40 following the release of Views. None of the songs off Care Package charted in the top 40. Technically, he got an "album bomb" with each of those projects, but when you take a closer look, you see that from 4 of those 7 projects, only 5 songs from the 4 projects combined debuted in the top 40 upon the projects being released. That's not a lot of damage considering most of those songs fell out the following week. I don't understand your complaint. Drake is the biggest artist in the streaming era who just so happens to have dropped, with the addition of the So Far Gone re-release, 8 projects since the start of the streaming era. It's no surprise he manages to chart some songs anytime he drops a new project.

Wow. So you're using ONE song to determine that the quality of his music has dipped? The project that holds Toosie Slide also has amazing songs like When To Say When, Chicago Freestyle, Losses, War, etc and those are all demo tracks.

How is he oversaturated? Tell that to all the success he keeps seeing. Wouldn't that be oversaturation by definition? No. You only feel he's oversaturated because YOU'RE not enjoying the music he has been releasing lately. Him dropping as much music as he's done for the past decade isn't anything new. Rihanna dropped an album every year for 8 straight years. Same with JAY Z. Some acts back in the '50's till the '80's were dropping as many as 3-4 albums EVERY YEAR. Minus that, there are other rappers who release way more music than Drake but just aren't big enough to have every song they release chart so you don't feel the effect of how much music they release as much as you do when it comes to Drake. That's all it is. Also, when talking about oversaturation in terms of the music market, that's usually when an artist floods the market with so much new music that fans and casual supporters get tired and stop supporting said music as much or at all. Most of Drake's entries on the Hot 100 on any given year are from the tracks off a project that fans would appreciate. Most of those songs don't get pushed as singles so they have usually tend to have very little staying power and don't chart for long. He also does features, but not nearly as many as some of the younger acts today. For instance, this year, he's only been on 2 songs as a featured act and we're in July.

69 just makes the same videos over and over again and somehow the views on them absolutely explode every time, I really don't get the appeal.

Drake hasn’t made an ‘official’ studio album since scorpion. So Far Gone rerelease is self explanatory, Care Package was a compilation, and Dark Lane is a compilation of his unreleased throwaway hits, so just to clarify and point things out

Pop Smoke has 4 tracks in top ten on Spotify. The new 6ix9ine track is nowhere to be seen.
