they don't really chart on the daily US chart everyday. the songs returning are all throwbacks that people play during their celebrations. "Hotel California" or "Old Town Road" aren't particularly patriotic but they go with the vibe.

I thought "Firework" would make an appearance since it had a strong showing on iTunes but maybe it isn't for the streaming crowd. It would have been a fitting song this year too, with all the nightly fireworks in the last month.

Mostly one day. Although I can see a few songs manage to enter or re-enter Digital Song Sales with numbers being as low as they are.

yes - July 4th is not a big holiday for re-entries- only one day - no buildup

Halloween and Christmas are better for that.

For example:
God Bless The USA (released in 1984)- current #1 on iTunes only charted after 9/11 in 2001

but hit digital songs every year since 2015
