Can we just applaud the fact that Taylor has released 9 albums in the span of 15 years. That’s more than an album every two years.... name another artist of her caliber that keeps their fans so well-fed... maybe Drake but that’s kind of it. The number of albums is impressive, but the length of the albums is even more impressive. Adding in original bonus and deluxe tracks (not acoustic versions or voicemails), her shortest album is 14 songs (debut) and the average length is 16.8 tracks, and this of course doesn't include the numerous soundtrack songs and other one-offs she has done (and the soon to be "from the vault" tracks). She is definitely one of the most prolific songwriters of her generation. ALSO CONGRATS TO TAYLOR ON HER 3RD ALBUM OF THE YEAR WIN! I feel the reaction to this is a bit muted considering everyone was expecting it and we're all so used to seeing Taylor win, but wow what an accomplishment! Lowkey felt like this was the Grammy she was most excited to win out of any she's won in her career so far. After losing her first 5 nominations on Sunday, I think she was starting to wonder if she was done winning any Grammys.

Agreed, I bet speaking up and “rebelling” against the music industry made her question whether she would get enough support to win a Grammy ever again. While Taylor is universally loved and acclaimed, she has some enemies in high places who would love to see her fail *cough Scooter cough Scott* It must be a wonderful feeling for her to know she won this award with the bare minimum collaboraters and that she owns the rights to it. So proud of her.

I came into the Grammys not wanting her to win (for risk of a backlash), but I ended up thrilled and relieved that she did win. The narrative arc of Fearless/1989/Folklore being her AOTY trifecta is extremely correct

The narrative arc of Fearless/1989/Folklore being her AOTY trifecta is extremely correct The outcome of the Grammys was really the best case scenario for Taylor. If she had swept, there probably would have been a lot of eyerolling and backlash, and if she had lost AOTY, there would have been a lot of wondering if it was just because she had already won twice. Winning only album of the year got her the award that many felt she deserved without people thinking she unfairly took all the awards.
