I wonder with Taylor's new songs hitting the Hot 100 this week. Which "Older" Songs will not survive this week and go to recurrent?

No one else finds it funny that Taylor dropped a whole new album on the last week Billboard will count merchandising? Okay then.

No one else finds it funny that Taylor dropped a whole new album on the last week Billboard will count merchandising? Okay then. I think after the rule change labels and artists will make some sort of giveaway for people who add the track with the merch to incentivize more sales, while selling tracks with merch for $0.01 or as minimum as possible (Price of the track itself, doesn’t include merch price) to get more sales/optional bundles (which is allowed under the new rules).

^39 cents is the minimum price for a digital track within the first 3 months of release to be counted toward the Digital Song Sales, Hot 100 and Billboard 200 that was set after the $0.99 Born This Way album Amazon fiasco.

Two questions:
-Where will Taylor end up on the list of most hot 100 entries, versus Drake, Nikki, Glee etc?
-Last artist to score a #1 single from their 7th studio album?

No one else finds it funny that Taylor dropped a whole new album on the last week Billboard will count merchandising? Okay then. When Billboard announced that they would wait 24 days to change the bundle rules, they basically said: "Hey, we're giving y'all 24 more days to game our system". This week, a song probably is going #1 due to last minute bundles. They're lucky that it's a Taylor Swift song vs. DaBaby/Roddy Ricch, so people will not complain that much. Next time, they need to change the rules ASAP. There's no need to wait so much.

You can't do big changes on the spot without warning or without preparing the current system, the charts would've been a mess if they did it right away.
