The second group of the multiple-song artist extras. Some huge pop hits come out here (five songs we ranked on year-end Hot 100 lists, plus a Lost Hits song), as well as Erasure and INXS having shocking misses with some of their most popular songs. And...yeah, I'm not quite sure what Genesis are doing on here. Artist | Song | Video | Erasure | Heavenly Action | | Erasure | Oh L'Amour |
| Erasure | Who Needs Love Like That |
| Fine Young Cannibals | Ever Fallen in Love |
| Fine Young Cannibals | Suspicious Minds |
| General Public | Come Again |
| General Public | Faults and All |
| General Public | In Conversation |
| Genesis | Invisible Touch |
| Genesis | Land of Confusion |
| Howard Jones | No One Is to Blame |
| Howard Jones | You Know I Love You...Don't You? |
| INXS | Do Wot You Do |
| INXS | Kiss the Dirt (Falling Down the Mountain) |
| INXS | Listen Like Thieves |
| INXS | What You Need |
| Level 42 | Hot Water |
| Level 42 | Something About You |
|
so many great extras here - Something About You (Level 42), all four INXS songs (including Do Wot You Do from Pretty in Pink), the two FYC songs (Suspicious Minds and Ever Fallen in Love) and the Erasure songs (specifically O' Lamour). The mid 80's were full of incredible music.

So as you can see, I've completely fallen behind when it comes to extras. -_- I'm just going to dump the remaining bubbling under extras here...I'll try to start posting the charting extras tomorrow. Pet Shop Boys - Love Comes QuicklyPet Shop Boys - SuburbiaPet Shop Boys - Why Don't We Live Together The B-52's - Girl from Ipanema Goes to Greenland The B-52's - She Brakes for Rainbows The B-52's - Wig The Hooters - Day by Day The Hooters - Hanging on a Heartbeat The Hooters - Where Do the Children Go The Smiths - Bigmouth Strikes AgainThe Smiths - There Is a Light That Never Goes OutUB40 - Rat in Me Kitchen UB40 - Watchdogs Bangles - If She Knew What She Wants Big Audio Dynamite - E = MC²Big Country - One Great Thing Cocteau Twins - Love's Easy Tears David + David - Swallowed by the Cracks Eurythmics - It's Alright (Baby's Coming Back) Icehouse - Cross the Border (Steel Love)Iggy Pop - Blah-Blah-Blah Kate Bush - Hounds of LoveLloyd Cole & The Commotions - Brand New Friend New Order - Paradise Pretenders - My Baby Talking Heads - Love for SaleThe Art Of Noise - Legs The Call - Everywhere I GoThe Fixx - Built for the Future'Til Tuesday - What About Love David Bowie - Absolute Beginners Mick Jagger - Ruthless People Models - Out of Mind Out of Sight Ric Ocasek - True to You Robert Palmer - I Didn't Mean to Turn You On Simple Minds - All the Things She Said The Dream Academy - The Edge of Forever Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight Andy Taylor - Take It Easy Bananarama - Venus Belinda Carlisle - Mad About You Belouis Some - ImaginationBoys Don't Cry - I Wanna Be a Cowboy Culture Club - Move Away Dead or Alive - Brand New Lover Debbie Harry - French Kissin' in the USA Device - Hanging on a Heart AttackDuran Duran - Notorious Falco - Rock Me AmadeusGrace Jones - I'm Not Perfect (But I’m Perfect for You) John Taylor - I Do What I Do…Magazine 60 - Don QuichotteOpus - Live Is Life Prince and the Revolution - KissSly Fox - Let's Go All the Way Tears for Fears - Mothers TalkThe Communards - Don't Leave Me This WayThe Venetians - So Much for Love Thompson Twins - Nothing in Common Bronski Beat - Hit That Perfect Beat Ken Heaven - The Calling King - Alone Without You Love and Money - Candybar Express Real Life - Bleeding BabiesSigue Sigue Sputnik - Love Missile F1-11 Sparks - Music That You Can Dance To Boom Boom Room - Here Comes the Man Dramarama - Anything, Anything (I'll Give You)Martini Ranch - How Can the Labouring Man Find Time for Self-Culture? Definitely have some praises for some songs on that extras list, but for now, let's praise some 100% pure bred Hi- Energy music. My preferred dance music genre.
Ken Heaven - The Calling Italo Hi energy at its absolute best. The falsetto vocal style is amazing and done by male singer. The "galloping" Hi -Energy style music ,and the way he sings it gets faster and faster towards the end. He sings it in the style I always praise when singers hold their notes as long as they can. Not sure what BPMs it clocks out in, but I'm sure its pretty high. The song as the artist name hints at is pure heavenly bliss. KROQ used to play this back when KROQ was cool of course, but also KPWR. The song was also one of the biggest Hi-NRG songs of the year. My cousins would play this one at the house parties all the time. You can find the song on countless of Hi Energy disco compilations, but the original 12 is out of print. I've seen it being sold as high as 500 dollars. I inherited all the NRG 12's from my cousins so I have it in my collection. This one deserves a video showcase. This, Dead Or Alive, Bananarama, and Communards are probably the closest we could have gotten to ranking some real Hi Energy music for 1986. Heartbroken is the least I feel this moment, because this song would have made my top 2 on this list with a strong chance it being my #1 song..

decided to do this on a whim yesterday and I'm glad I did, this is easily one of the most stacked alt lists I've ever done. looking forward to watching the results, especially as I don't really know how I'm going to do aside from the "basic" songs lol

not only was "Desire (Come And Get It)" HUGE at my college, but it's my favorite GLJ song & i'm SHOCKED we don't get to rank it
"Ask" & "Thorn In My Side" are also iconic tunes that are a bit of a letdown to finish under 100.
i LOVE "Split Decision", but luckily that one made the cut on the Mainstream Rock side.
"Behind A Wall Of Sleep" is a wonderful early Smithereens song...and we know Thom Yorke was listening to Talking Heads in '86 as this is the inspiration for his band's name.

I’ll try to finish but I still have 50 songs to listen for the first time It’ll likely a first impression RD as I only recognized about 20 songs coming in.

Not much more to say...but this is why you shouldn't wait until the very last minute (like you always seem to do!) Anyways, this is the final reminder I'm giving - the deadline is in an hour and a half!

Since I'm not unfortunately not submitting this time around - not due to a lack of interest in the list, more due to a lack of time to dedicate to rankdowns lately -, I'll say, from skimming through the list, that I would've had "Swamp Thing" (probable #1), "Bizarre Love Triangle" and "Cities In Dust" as my probable top 3, unless a first listen blew me away, which isn't impossible considering the good feedback I've heard about this list. Among songs that I expect to do well but that I wouldn't have had *that* high, there's "Stripped" & "Wax and Wane", both of which, while decent, are far from my favourites by their respective artists. Finally, if anyone's curious, I'd listened to 14 of the 100 songs on shuffle a few days ago before realizing I couldn't dedicate enough time to do the whole rankdown, so here's my ranking of the 14 random songs so far; funnily enough, the first two songs that came up on shuffle were the Big Audio Dynamite songs... {Spoiler}The Smiths - Panic Cactus World News - Years Later The Bolshoi - A Way Love and Rockets - Kundalini Express Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - (Forever) Live and Die Eurythmics - When Tomorrow Comes Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - Lost Weekend Dumptruck - Back Where I Belong Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian Big Audio Dynamite - Medicine Show Run-DMC - Walk This Way Gene Loves Jezebel - Heartache 54-40 - Baby Ran Big Audio Dynamite - C'mon Every Beatbox

I find the part where Sting shouts out everyone playing on it and has them play a short solo pretty amusing at least 99

So, I used the video posted in the OP to listen to the song. Things are going along fine, and then, the video hits its conclusion...except it doesn't. The audio kept playing. It kept playing for about two or three minutes. Just when it seemed like I was going to be haunted by Sting until the end of time, the audio suddenly stopped. It was like I was living through a creepypasta.
Oh, the song...yeah, it's lame dad rock.

This would take the title of "best UB40 song" if it wasn't seven minutes long.
