 Hello, and welcome to a truly exciting event!!! Martina McBride is one of the first artists in the entire rankdown trend who received an artist rankdown. Just like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, her rankdown happened so early on that the majority of our regular rankdown participants did not get to partake. Additionally, thanks to the album series that followed shortly after, several people who were not all that familiar with her have had LOTS of time for their opinions to change since they first made their lists. Like, did you know that fearlessarrow did not like "Anyway" last time we did this...  The point is, her first singles rankdown is starting to seem outdated already. People who missed out the first time around have been asking me for months about the possibility of doing this again. Since Carrie and Taylor are receiving the same treatment, I have decided it is time to oblige  Our last rankdown had 70 songs, but this time I have decided to cut the frills. We will be ranking only her singles, a tiny selection of her most popular Christmas songs, and (to bring it to an even 50) the winner of her album tracks rankdown (I am pumped to see how well it fares amongst her singles!!) Yessssss I did the first singles rankdown without being familiar with 90% of her discography, but now I've gotten more familiar with her discography so it'll be interesting to see how my tastes changed! |

Good news! I'm going to extend this one a bit because y'all have been focused on getting my July New Releases/George/Reba album rankdowns done, and this one has not had a chance to shift into the spotlight yet. Well, now that Reba is out of the way, and George/New Country Releases will be done within the next day or two, it is time for the spotlight to shift!!!!!!Martina's rankdown is now being actively promoted, and you have until Sunday, September 13th to get a list in if you would like to participate! That means you have exactly 2 more weeks!! We already have 5 lists, which is 1/3 of the participation from last time around. And 2 of those faces are new from last time!

Carrie's rankdown of half that size is just too easy for people to do by comparison  I must've been thinking of when they were each added to the queue...also, you have to think that in this pandemic, the days blur too much!  Carrie's rankdown is half the size, yes, but it's half the size of a career that's still relevant...  ;)  |

Bumping this for an announcement! My computer died the other day, so I haven’t been able to give any reminders right in the home stretch for this rankdown... Plan on an extension for this! I definitely won’t be able to close this tomorrow with no computer. I’ll pick a new deadline once I get my laptop back. In the meantime though there are several of you who should definitely keep working on this |
