Pretty good boost for Pray 4 Love. NLE Choppa's pure sales I'm guessing come from D2C since it is only #25 in ITunes. Luke Bryan will barely manage to do over half of its previous album.

3 consecutive weeks will match reputation, though that one got an additional week later on in its run.

3 consecutive weeks will match reputation, though that one got an additional week later on in its run. I feel like folklore will have some legs during the Fall/Winter/Holiday months. If exile hits hard, or folklore gets some Grammy love, she may have a few more weeks in the bag.

The next assured bump will be when folklore is released on vinyl.

3 weeks at no. 1 is pretty solid for any album, and now hopefully Cardigan can do well enough followed by Exile so that Folklore can linger in the top ten at least until Christmas. Even a radio hit can help an album stay in the top ten like Watermelon Sugar did it with Fine Line, so it doesn't really matter that Cardigan is basically tanking on Spotify.

Considering Luke Bryan's track record for the last 7ish years, this has a to be seen as a disappointment for him. His last 3 studio albums went number one and this new album is getting the same numbers as his Spring Break records and EP's are. He's barely making half of his last album and he didn't even have a hit single off that album compared to how Knockin' Boots and One Margarita has done for this one.

Phil Collins' The Singles is up to #4 in iTunes, boosted by the In the Air Tonight's resurgence.

I just realized After Hours is only up 7% after that TikTok concert.
Guess the concert didn't really make much impact even with TikTok in the news so much this month. Fortnite remains the go-to virtual concert option for A-listers.

Fortnite remains the go-to virtual concert option for A-listers. Funny you should say, Fortnite is removed from the App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android) as of yesterday. The owner 'Epic' is suing both Apple & Google.

Taylor killing it... any new releases next week that would end her reign? Maybe. folklore's main threat to not being #1 would be the loses in sales and streaming and the streaming stability of the rap albums already charting. If isn't #1 for a fourth week, either Legends Never Die or Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon could return to #1 if their streaming remains strong enough. Since Legends Never Die only returned to #2 thanks to its deluxe edition, it would say Shoot For the Stars Aim for the Moon would be #1 if folklore isn't.

The fact that it’s still challenging for the top spot in the 4th week is really good news. Imagine the drama if Taylor drops the vinyl and signed copies on week 5 and blocks Katy... haha Bad Blood 2.0 Are tour bundles still allowed or did Billboard change the rule?

^Just checked: "The new policies do not affect albums that are part of a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer bundle, where the price of an album is part of the cost of a ticket and the album's inclusion is promoted to the customer at the beginning of their purchase experience. Then, after purchasing the ticket, the customer will receive an offer to redeem the album and have it mailed to them or to download it. Only the albums that are redeemed count toward Billboard's charts, indicating a desire by a consumer to receive the album."
So basically, nothing has changed for those.

Taylor Swift lands her third consecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50, as folklore (Republic) adds 141k more to its total—the set grew 6% after physical CDs hit retailers. Swift’s eighth studio LP, the fastest album YTD to reach 1m, is now at 1.1m in activity. She joins The Weeknd, Lil Baby and Roddy Ricch as the only acts to score at least three weeks atop the album chart this year.
Dearly departed stars Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke continue to trade spots at the #2 and #3 positions. Juice’s Legends Never Die (Grade A/Interscope) moves up a notch with a 30k increase behind the addition of a new single featuring The Weeknd, while Pop’s Shoot For The Stars, Aim for the Moon (Victor Victor/Republic) holds steady with 96k.
Alamo/Geffen/Interscope’s Rod Wave rides a deluxe package of Pray 4 Love to #4, up 276% to 77k. Luke Bryan follows at #5 with the week’s top debut, Born Here Live Here Die Here (Capitol Nashville) earning 64k.
Other top bows go to Glass Animals’ Dreamland (Polydor/Republic) at #8, NLE Choppa’s Top Shotta (NLE Choppa Ent./Warner) at #10, BTS’ Japanese-language album Map of the Soul 7: The Journey (Big Hit/UMe) at #14 and Aminé’s Limbo (Republic) at #16.
Streeting this week are projects from RCA Nashville’s Kane Brown, Sub Pop/Columbia’s Orville Peck, Capitol Nashville’s Caylee Hammack, This Is Hit/Stoney Creek’s Lindsay Ell and Def Jam’s Dave East (Mass Appeal) and Kaash Paige.

Taylor is holding on steadily.
Could “folklore” outperform “Lover” ?

^One thing that's folklore is that it did better on streaming during its first three weeks than Lover, so there's a good chance it could in the long run, specially if a few songs have decent chart runs in the Hot 100. The second single from it should do decently during fall/winter.

oh. here are two album bundle rule happened on Aug.7
1. "+Digital Album" physical+digital album no longer counted as digital sales but physical sales when physical is shipped.
Katy Perry's physical album pre-order is no longer bundled with +digital album from her store (still same price..lol) she sold collectible different cover versions with +digital album til Aug.6.
2. "Signed bundle" signed item must be live on first day of album release day or won't be counted.

Maybe so, although since his peak with Crash My Party in 2013, which opened with about 500k, his opening weeks for his next two #1's declined by about 200k each time, so this is sort of in line with that, and maybe in a more favorable week his current album would have been a spot or two higher. His last album, What Makes You Country, did actually have a lead #1 Country Airplay single, and I don't think any of his albums ever had ticket bundles, which of course many artists need to maintain high sales.Edit: Nope, I was wrong, according to the Billboard article Born Here Live Here Die Here does have a ticket bundle, so you probably do have somewhat of a point lol.

I don’t remember his 2017 album having bundles, and they weren’t really a thing before that. Luke was just extremely popular when his 2013 and 2015 albums came out, hence the high sales weeks.
