You summoning like 30 Mariah stans to this thread is the most hilariously chaotic thing ever My good sis Rose "Payola" Nylund loves mess. It's a known fact!

don't think it'll do much but Taylor released the physical-only bonus track "the lakes" to streaming services this morning under a new folklore (deluxe edition) album

Drake dropped a lyric video for lncl. This is his first lyric video ever. The desperation has begun. He's the last big artist you should use that "d" word for lol

The obsession is so real for someone they dislike. We get it. Just congratulate and not bring someone else up. And the comparisons of debuts are different times like..whew🙄 Yeah all they do is obsess over Mariah Carey, who had Eminem destroy her career and expose her. We should congratulate all artists, except 6ix9ine (for obvious reasons).

looks like their sales are gonna be pretty much even judging by how fast WAP is falling, and might be the same for Radio. so WAPs lead is youtube + spotify while drake has pandora + apple music

Damn why the sudden drop for 'WAP' on iTunes. Based on kworb: 8.5 hours ago LNCL was 52% behind WAP, 2.5 hours ago WAP is 35% behind LNCL.
Edit: It was a glitch.

So I listened to the entirety of Savage Love for the first time, and it seems that Jason Derulo outcapaldi'ed Lewis Capaldi.

Is anyone else getting really annoyed with Billboard pitching the recurrent rules to the wind in 2020? It's happened with Tusa, Pussy Fairy, Emotionally Scarred, and even though I really like Supalonely it's got the year end points it needs and it should be removed if its time is up.
Also I'm really worried that they're gonna do the same thing with the terrible If The World Was Ending

If you look at the iTunes app Cardi is #2 but Taylor has jumped up to #1 with the release of the lakes which isn't even listed on Kworb.

Assuming those songs you mentioned were/are still gaining in sales, streaming, or airplay, then they should continue charting based on Billboard's rules.

How many women of color have reached number one this year on the Hot 100? I have to think we are near a record. When's the last time an Asian woman had a hit?

^ Nicole Scherzinger is also half-Filipino I believe. but yeah Asian folks, especially women, are not represented enough in the arts in general.

How many women of color have reached number one this year on the Hot 100? I have to think we are near a record. When's the last time an Asian woman had a hit? Which ethnic group of ‘Asian Women’ are you referring too exactly? West-Asian, South-Asian, East/South-East Asian? In the last ten years: • Jake Zyrus (formerly Charice Pempengco - Filipino) had a hit in 2010. - “Pyramid” peaked at #56 on the Hot 100 and his album ‘Charice’ peaked at #6 on the BB200. • Nicole Scherzinger (who is of Filipino descent on her Mother’s side) and her single “Right There” peaked at #39 on the Hot 100 in 2011. • Jhene Aiko (who is of Japanese descent from her Mother’s side) had “B.S” peak at #24 ion the Hot 100 in 2019 and her biggest single to date “Post To Be” peaked at #11. She’s also had two top three BB200 peaking albums, one of which moved 100M streams in a week. • M.I.A (who is Sri Lankan) peaked at #10 on the Hot 100 as part of Madonna’s Give Me All Your Lovin” in 2012. Overall, I’d say the most successful Female artist to date of Asian descent is Paula Abdul which is unfortunate considering she peaked 30-35 years ago. Whether she’s from Iran, India, Pakistan, Vietnam or Singapore, I hope we see an Asian Female solo act find consistent chart success someday soon.

Is being extremely sexually direct the new trend? Pop Smoke and WAP are prime examples
