When's the last time an Asian woman had a hit? Jake Zyrus (formerly Charice Pempengco - Filipino) had a hit in 2010. - βPyramidβ peaked at #56 on the Hot 100 and his album βChariceβ peaked at #6 on the BB200. In case this isnβt clear to anyone (I had to read it a few times and then Google, so hopefully Iβm saving someone some time), Jake Zyrus is a trans Asian man but at the time he had a hit, with the information we (the general) public had, we would have said he was an Asian woman.
