Insane streaming numbers for Morgan so far. Feels like a landmark moment for country music on streaming. It does but it almost seems like he doesn't have any fans outside the US, lol. 2.5M streams (Global) About 2.3M streams (US) I've never seen that before.

Well I'm outside the US and I streamed it a dozen times! But yeah otherwise, I would've thought that's fairly standard for country being local to the US?

I guess. I just personally haven't seen a song have so many of it's streams be from one region. Great numbers for him, though. Should easily debut in the top 5.

#WAP climbs to 3M U.S Spotify streams?
A BEHEMOTH!
Only two female songs have spent 10+ weeks at number one since 2010, βWe Found Loveβ and βHelloβ...
This will be the third!

Miley's numbers are very impressive. Especially on Apple Music. I hope she secures a top 20 debut. Her single is a bop.

It hasn't even debuted at #1 yet and you're already saying it'll spend 10+ weeks at #1. If this isn't getting ahead of yourself, I don't know what is.

Country Music is as local to the U.S.A as Chanson music is to France or Celtic music is to Ireland.
Iβm not surprised that the vast majority β7 Summersβ success is taking place in America.
To date, the most Globally successful βCountryβ act is Shania Twain, if we go by pure numbers, and her sound was still as Pop as it were Country. (Artists such as Garth Brooks are humongous in America but not nearly as popular internationally).
βFearlessβ was a relatively successful album worldwide, mostly in Asia & Oceania, however Taylor Swift only, truly started seeing consistent commercial success in continents ala. Europe/South-America post-βREDβ and even still her stats. in these regions are mediocre.
That said...
Congrats. to Miley Cyrus! I was not expecting her to debut so high! ππΏ

Drakes new song reminds me a lot of gods plan. Just a lot more triumphant but a little less catchy. The baby part is gonna stick around especially on TikTok. I definitely donβt see it doing any numbers near gods plan but definitely a song thatβll be around for awhile. It should be #2 this week and get big radio push. Maybe #1 in a few weeks After wap has its run.

7 Summers debuting with 2,269,891 streams has to be the biggest debut for a country song ever since the Old Town Road Remix

Cardi's longevity. What are other #1s debut that managed to stay on top for a second week in 2020? None!!. WAP will be the first one. Before that... 7 rings was the last one? I don't remember but probably that was the last!

I think it's funny that for all the hell Nicki has brought upon the charts, the only year-end presence she has is potentially only on her verse on Tusa and even then it might not make it, and Cardi B's first week on top may be bigger than either of her only weeks on the top with Say So and TROLLZ combined.
