This little song has already exceeded my chart expectations. Go Phoenix!

Well as a testament to this song’s success, it’s up to #1 on Billboard AAA this week. Their last #1 anywhere was “1901” so better somewhat late than never I guess (looking at Tame)

I thought it was a little too derivative of Ti Amo; hopefully there's something else coming which will break through like 1901 & Lisztomania.

This was in one ear and out the other for me. Not really memorable to me.

Short answer, yes. 25 42 PHOENIX Identical 234 560 -326 0.226 Wow, crazy! Isn't a drop that steep quite unusual for Alternative?

Short answer, yes. 25 42 PHOENIX Identical 234 560 -326 0.226 Wow, crazy! Isn't a drop that steep quite unusual for Alternative? Unusual in terms of it freefalling from its peak, not in general. Songs on Alt often completely collapse after reaching their peak but that's usually somewhere in the top 12 positions or so. Usually a flop or low charter (there is a difference, depending on the artist, label, expectations, etc.) slowly declines by -50 to -100 spins a week until it fades off the chart or is sent recurrent. See what happened to "Patience" by Chris Cornell for an A-grade example of that. "Identical" crashing out despite not even reaching the top 20 is odd, but it's been more common this year than in years past. 2020 y'all.

Does this crash possibly mean a new single is on the way in the near future? Fingers crossed.
