There was a fun discussion here a few weeks ago about exes competing for number 1 on Billboard. Well , Selena will be in competition tomorrow against TWO exes : Weekend x Calvin Harris and Jaiden Smith x Justin Bieber !! I hope Selena wins this one π As much as I love the music of The Weeknd, it would be hysterical if somehow Blackpink managed to debut at #1 and BTS doesn't. Unlikely, but one can dream ... |

For some unknown reason to me , Arianators are not flocking to support Selepink even though Ariana wrote the damn song πΉ but thatβs what we girls do , we donβt always support each other . |

We might as well open the 9/12 thread early with all this talk about next weekβs releases.
On the plus side of all the βsalesβ promotions - it is getting fans to buy music. As much as I love streaming, there was something tangible - literally - about buying a single, album - physical or digital - that made it less disposable. I save new stuff to my Spotify account all the time, but itβs just not the same.
A bit under the radar has been Harryβs duel top 15 hits. I really thought AY would have been flushed out much sooner when WS took off.

Potential 300k sales for Dynamite is insane, when is the last time we've seen this? Can't Stop the Feeling!'s first week at #1 with 379k. Dynamite would have required 4 versions to accomplish it. |
