Doesn't this guarantee top 10 spot?
It has 12,226,000 on YT and SP US πΊπΈ which equals 82,000 units + pure sales and other platforms it already surpassed 100.000 units.
(UNITS include Streams + Pure copies)

No, it's confirmed. Either the label sets it up or the station sets it up, but no money is ever exchanged. But items are exchanged - and I guess thatβs what I wonder about. My (newish) understanding is that itβs more of a general relationship between stations and labels and that thereβs no exchange specifically for a single song, but there might be in a general sense, for example, a label adds a station to a list of groups that will receive swag once a month or a few times a year as an βacknowledgementβ for that station being a βsupporterβ of the labelβs artist roster. I think connecting that specifically to one song as a βradio dealβ might be misleading and implies a play-for-swag exchange. But again, this is all hypothetical too as Iβm just filling in the blanks from how I know in other similar areas. Itβs probably just me knitpicking now, but I think the way itβs often presented here gives the implication that the onus is completely on the label/artist setting it up and paying it out when I donβt think thatβs necessarily true. I would expect most of the deals are the "added listener base/reputation" thing I was hinting at in my earlier post. Sort of a mutual understanding that the label wants one, the stations are willing to do it, and in turn somewhere down the line that station will not only benefit from being an "exclusive" station for breaking new music upon release date to its listeners, but also have an "in" with the labels to receive more merchandise, tickets, gifts, etc. for their employees/give-aways for listeners. I think more of the physical exchanges are for later in the song's run. There definitely needs to be some goodwill built up between the musician the label is pushing and radio first and foremost before these one day deals are considered. Unless it's an On the Verge type of deal, all one day deals are exclusively for A-list (Bieber, The Weeknd, Ariana, etc.) and just-under-A-list-but-not-quite-small-enough-to-be-B-list (Halsey, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato, etc.) musicians. You're not gonna see, say, JoJo or Zara Larsson getting these deals. And I would expect some of these deals are indeed the stations latching onto it, but only because they've already built the label/musician bond and don't need the label to say "hey, please do this" anymore.

WAP returns to #1 on iTunes. Seems like fans are prioritizing buying off of the website rather than iTunes now. Wonder what those numbers are gonna be at the end of the week.

The vast majority of fans have been prioritizing buying from the website all week with buying/funding parties. I too would like to see those numbers

man... pop smoke's team should have sent For The Night to radio. It would easy repeak in the top 10 or even hit top 5 with how strong its streaming is.

Idk whatβs going on with pop smokeβs rollout right now itβs like Spotify/Apple = For The Night Tik Tok/Youtube = Mood Swings Radio = The Woo I think itβs great if the team wanted all 3 songs to hit the year end

Don't know why some people are predicting BL to be above LNCL. The gap is still huge and the VMAs didn't have much impact This is when you know streaming has way too much weight on the Hot 100. LNCL is not a bigger hit than BL this week. I can't go anywhere without hearing BL, while barely hearing LNCL (in fact, I don't think I've heard it once this week). If LNCL moves up in its 3rd week, that might be the most impressive chart feat this year, especially considering how little promo it has this week.

Circles (feat. Gunna) doesnβt exist outside of Pulse. I made it up as a total lie last November. People found it either hilarious or repulsive and the rumors have lingered around until now for whatever reason. I love it.

If circles (or HB) wins a grammy or post performs it there, we could potentially see a rolling in the deep effect here

Twitter isn't exactly a seer when it comes to chart positions, especially stan Twitter -100k units confirmed by chart data -7 million views / 150 = 46k units -100,000 + 46,000 = 146,000 units isn't that enough for #9 and the airplay is not been counted If I could offer you any advice it would be to look at the prediction thread. That will more then likely tell you the songs that are going to be in the top ten. Plus most predictions have it debuting in the top 20 around 17. Top ten is most likely out of the question.

If circles (or HB) wins a grammy or post performs it there, we could potentially see a rolling in the deep effect here Was Rolling In The Deep boosted by the Grammy's late into its chart run? yup. in its 58th frame it jumped 44-17, while "Someone Like You" jumped 22-11 in its 32nd week. they both joined "Set Fire to the Rain" the following week in the Top 10, making Adele the first woman to have 3 songs in the Top 10 simultaneously as a lead artist. the Top 10 after Grammy's looked like: NE 01 PART OF ME, Katy Perry (song debuted at the Grammys with a live performance) 02 02 SET FIRE TO THE RAIN, Adele (25th week on chart, the night's biggest winner Adele's active single) 07 03 I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, Whitney Houston (Houston passed away the day before the show, J-Hud performed the song live as tribute) 01 04 STRONGER, Kelly Clarkson (Clarkson performed on the show but not this song) 17 05 ROLLING IN THE DEEP, Adele (59th week on chart, won Song & Record of the Year AND was performed on the show) 03 06 WE ARE YOUNG, fun (they won Best New Artist) 11 07 SOMEONE LIKE YOU, Adele (33rd week on chart, won Pop Solo Performance) 06 08 WE FOUND LOVE, Rihanna (22nd week after 10 weeks on top, was performed on the show) NE 09 STARSHIPS, Nicki Minaj (debut, Nicki was in the news with her Pope outfit and iconic Roman's Revenge/Roman Holiday performance at the show) NE 10 TURN UP THE MUSIC, Chris Brown (debut, performed on the show)

It's odd that on the electronic and mainstream charts, the Imanbek Remix of Roses is charting but on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts it's not the remix, it's normal version. Has that ever happened before: two versions of the same song charting on different charts?
