The fact Dynamite might actually spend as many/more weeks #1 than WAP is so wild.

'Dynamite' is at 815K song sales. It will surpass 1M in 2 weeks if it keeps getting these pushes every week.

Laugh Now Cry Later will absolutely end up a bigger hit than Toosie Slide even though it hasn't reached #1 (yet).

True but "Toosie" at least went viral and sort of had some impact? It might just be me but LNCL has made like zero noise (the Hot 100 run is very good so far tho).
Not gonna lie I'm a little bit annoyed at the exploit of sales, but rules are rules and BTS is playing the game well.

265k (300k) 182k 136k 78k 153k
Physical haven't been available second week onward, right? On the website you have quite a few digital remixes.

WAP has a great chart run so far:
1-1-2-2-1-1-2
A 5th week at #1 would have been great though

WAP will most likely be back at #1 again this week. Unless Travisβ sales are like BTS-massive.

wondering where they got this info from, seeing as Billboard didn't credit Puth in their social media posts.

For Nicki Minaj in "Say So" they revealed that in their social posts before the website was updated.

Due to the Tik Tok phenom the lines for impact seems to have become very blurry. Like, to the point that many think a song didn't have "impact" if it didn't go viral, or wasn't all over social media.
Laugh Now Cry Later is arguably Drake's most organic hit since God's Plan. It has steadily grown on Urban, Rhythmic, and Pop, and has been very consistent in streams.
And I'm not saying Nonstop or Nice for What were not huge hits. I just think Laugh Now Cry Later has been more consistent.

Would just like to point out that one person donated 300 x 40 copies this week to a BTS funds account (over $8,000). That's 12,000 sales (or 24 chart points, ~5% of its total points). From a single person. And Billboard isn't changing any sales rules, only removing completely legitimate methods of streaming like YouTube lyric videos.

The source/proof other than "trust me bro"? This basically just says that a single person donated funds for these sales. It doesnβt say that a single person bought them alone. Itβs an awful lot of money but what is wrong with a person sending money around the country for this? Didnβt Justin & Chance just partner with Cashapp to give away 250k? Didnβt Cardi & Meg give away $1M with WAP?

On a non-chart related note, Big HIt had its IPO and made each of the members of BTS a millionaire which is surprising since you would think why all the hype they have gotten all the last few years they would already be it. They are already millionaires. No idea why the media is sounding like they arenβt It's common after an IPO for tech media to refer to how many members of a company were "made millionaires" by their share of the valuation at launch. In this context it's strange because, yes, these guys certainly already were.

Didnβt Cardi & Meg give away $1M with WAP? So? There's no difference because these funding acc's are highly organized at distributing the funds, it's effectively the same thing. I don't know about those funding strategies but they clearly had no impact and weren't done specifically to boost the songs' sales numbers (unlike this coordinated effort), they were just giveaways.

I prefer I Hope, because at least there's more than one female song on the H100 other than a song with Megan Thee Stallion. Seriously if it weren't for Megan with Savage and WAP, there would have been countless weeks with an all-male top10..
