Sorry but this is one of the WORST songs I've ever fucking heard.

These lyrics are so cringey. No wants to hear one of a famous, rich, entitled superstar whine over a cheap Coldplay loop and playing the victim card. And my ears bleed everytime he pronounces "lo-oOOo-ooOOo-OOoo-ly." Worst single of his career. PASS.

From what I've seen outside this forum, people generally like Lonely the snl performance really helped. Lonely has much less airplay compared to Holy but doing better in streaming on Thursday before this week's many releases it was like 30 on US applemusic while Holy was 42. Holy I've seen some negative comments mostly about not liking the rap. Lonely is gaining a little slow on CHR they are focusing on Holy but I think it's ok because Lonely is slow burn.

Lonely is quite stable on global spotify I feel it has room to grow once it gets international airplay. I checked UK airplay it hasn't made the chart yet and in Australia it's #37. In Germany it's like #67

Streaming =\= radio friendliness. See Heather for example. I personally wouldn’t this to be played that much. I couldn’t stand JP Saxe because every big iHeart station had it in power rotation all summer long.

Yeah but if heather was sang by someone with a higher profile like Justin it would probably be smashing on Radio. Lonely isn't picking up steam probably because there is an overflow of Justin on radio. Monster has a big radio deal, holy is 9th overall, I don't care is still in the top 100 and Intentions is still somewhere around the top 70. It's too much

Lonely just started on radio outside USA. I don't think his team is abandoning Lonely, the focus now is Holy it needs to gain quickly because a new single is coming. As I mentioned in the Holy thread, Justin filmed a music video last month which fans speculate is the actual lead, like they picked songs to tell a narrative this year and the hits are coming next year.

There are only so many spins on radio to go around, let Holy take Lonely spins on CHR, Lonely is slow burn it can wait and coincide with the new single which apparently is upbeat as long as radio doesn't drop it. Like some songs take half a year to climb.

Yeah, I hope lonely is a slow burner. Idk if it's too stable on spotify USA but I checked global and it is back in the top 10 today. It doesn't sound like a hit, but it is clearly resonating with people so they should push it after Holy peaks on radio with a new single early January or something.

Lonely isn't instant it's a grower. I think it can be a hit with more radio exposure, it has 29M overall audience compared to Holy with 80M. It's more stable than Holy in streaming with what it got and will outstream Holy on spotify soon, let's see how it does in the long run.

I think it may lose more spins this week because Monster may take its spins too. Monster is predicted to debut top 10 and since "Wonder" didn't make it, Shawn's team will try to make it debut as high as possible. I think next week will be a better indication of what will happen.

I remember "Bang" was also stalling because the 10-20 section is always a traffic jam and now it is making good gains again. Intentions also stalled even lost spins then moved again. So hopefully this is what's happening
