That #40 peak feels so inaccurate. This went mega viral for a few weeks back in November, I assumed it had already cracked the 20 off of that alone.

Has there been any mention on her social media of a music video? I can't think of a radio single she hasn't released a video for.

Kinda crazy that radio has carried this to the top 15 and she literally hasn't done a single thing. Really hope a video is around the corner though, I want this to do really well.

These updates without a flick of promo are insane. She has radio in a chokehold. Theyβre still spamming the first two singles

The lyric/dance video is cute. Hopefully it'll give the song a bit of a boost in streaming/sales. It's up to #261 on itunes and #1121 on Apple music.
Hopefully it'll start getting added to playlists on Spotify/Apple music to start rising more in streaming.

It was higher before the lyric video As for iTunes, it was in the high 300's before the lyric video, so... 50 extra downloads
I've been lobbying for this to become a single since the week the album came out and I'm starting to feel the egg drip down my face

Once it gets playlist support I'm sure it'll rise a lot. And the official video release will boost it a lot as well.

If POV makes it in the top 10 on next weekβs update (and it looks like it will), when is the last time an artist had three solo top 10s charting together? Iβm sure itβs more recent than I imagine (maybe even Ari herself), but just curious!

^My guess would either be the trios of (thank u, next, 7 rings, buwyg,ib) or (What Do U Mean, Sorry, Love Yourself). But Iβm just guessing on these two, hopefully someone has the stats to support or deny this lol.

Ariana was very close to doing in before with breathin, thank u, next, and 7 rings, but 7 rings ended up replacing breathin in the top 10. thank u, next had already left the top 10 before break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored entered.
Bieber did not have it either. What Do You Mean was replaced by Sorry in the top ten. Love Yourself and Sorry did chart together in the top 10, though.
Honestly, I don't believe an artist has ever had 3 simultaneous lead top 10s before. Not even during the Teenage Dream, 1989, Good Girl Gone Bad/Loud, The Fame/Monster, Breakaway eras.

I think I would've been more enthused if she'd pulled off the other trifecta because right now I just... don't want this achievement. Maybe it's because TUN/7R/Breathin were all still relatively fresh when the triple-up was possible. But now, you've got Positions/34+35 being really old on the charts and just taking up chart space that's needed elsewhere. The whole thing just feels detrimental to the chart as a whole? Like who needs this.

Look I love Ari but this going so high on radio when there's zero hype elsewhere... like who is actively looking for this song right now?
I know it already did amazingly well for an album track when positions dropped but still... kudos to her for the radio domination, it just feels very weird to me because the effort has been non existent and the public reaction to this as a single has been *crickets*.
I love her but I guess I will always prefer the more traditional album rollouts when artists tried to make every single an event of some sort. But keep slaying Ari.

Like who needs this. Yup, between the staleness of positions and 34+35 on the chart plus the fact that radio is clearly trying to force this one into smash hit status despite almost zero buzz elsewhere I really don't like her getting this achievement right now and would rather have seen it happen when she was releasing huge smashes left and right. Having the three TUN singles do it or the first 2 + breathin do it would have been spectacular. This time around feels artificial. I mean, there's no way the three positions singles are *that* much bigger than the other two combos. Any metric you look at they're not except here on pop for some reason. That's not to say these aren't all hits in their own right, but these singles getting Ariana's best radio longevity yet plus potentially earning her this grand achievement just doesn't sit right with me.

Nothing about the way this is flying up the chart feels organic. I felt the same way about "34+35." It all just feels calculated for the sake of making her look more impressive than she actually is. "34+35" and "positions" being #1 and #2 was ridiculous enough. As if anyone that actually listens to radio wants to hear this much Ariana.
Also how does a song that no one is streaming (or buying) debut with a 90% familiarity on callouts after being on the chart, like, two weeks? Didn't "positions" debut on callouts the week before it went #1? Make it make sense.

"pov" is familiar because it was the most popular album track. in fact, prior to becoming a single, it held the title for longest charting album cut by a female artist on the Hot 100. it was a TikTok trend and climbed into Top 40 on the Hot 100 because of that despite debuting lower during album release week. people know this song and several people on this board were even rooting for "34+35" to be scrapped and "pov" to be pushed as far back as in November. there's nothing fishy about the success of her first two singles, either. "positions" was her lead single, debuted with stellar callout scores, and did well on streaming. likewise for "34+35," which has good callout scores and received the remix treatment. it was also popular on TikTok and #1 on Spotify at the top of the year, even before the remix came out. I'm struggling to see how this is "inorganic." Ariana has been a radio darling since 2014. her time, much like most of her peers, might be up soon. let her round it up to a decade in the mainstream first. then you can rejoice pop radio drops her singles after they come near Top 15.

Sheβs got a beautiful voice and some great music, but I just donβt understand how anything she touches gets sent straight to the top of the radio charts. Nearly every single song, no matter what. It seems desperately unfair. I have NO IDEA who has the power or say that goes into these decisions and I doubt its her, but I just donβt get how anyone thinks the world needs three of her songs on radio when there are so many women out there releasing quality music who have hype and still get paid dust.

Didn't this debut on callouts and then drop off the following week? How do you explain a song debuting with 90% familiarity suddenly vanishing the next week? I understand that radio is going to play this coming off of two #1's and being that it's Ariana... but there's something about the speed that this (and "34+35" as I mentioned earlier) is climbing/climbed at that doesn't feel organic to me. It's like there's never any hesitancy when it comes to any of her singles... and this is a case where one would think there would be since no one is streaming it.
