Welcome to the long awaited album rankdown series for Alan Jackson! With the completion of his singles rankdown just a few months ago I promised y'all that we would be getting to his albums soon enough, and I'm happy to announce that we'll be kicking off the series with his two holiday albums! Featured are tens songs from his first Christmas album, Honky Tonk Christmas, which was released in October, 1993, and includes duets with both Alison Krauss and the late Keith Whitley. Eleven songs are featured from Alan's second holiday album, Let It Be Christmas, which was released in October, 2002. Two other songs are showcased for the rankdown including "Just Put a Ribbon in Your Hair" which was released on a holiday compilation album in 2003 and was first recorded and released by Doug Stone in 1992. The most recent offering is actually featured twice as Chris Young and Alan paired up on "There's a New Kid in Town" which Alan previously recorded in 1993.
