There should be a different Xmas #1. AIWFCIY already got that. It's time for a new one to shine.

Am I the only one who thinks that Mariah's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is more fitting for this Christmas...(and it's better than AIWFCIY). I hope this christmas classic can get its deserved top twenty peak this year!

There should be a different Xmas #1. AIWFCIY already got that. It's time for a new one to shine. That was my idea last year. I thought let AIWFCIY dominate at #1 for about 3 years/times (if it is able to) and then retire it to some kind of other recurring Christmas chart and allow one of these other popular Christmas songs try to get to #1 next. But alas, Billboard seems determined not to listen to me; guess my brain waves aren't coming in strong enough.

Well, it can't be a remove-one-and-not-all mentality. We'll see how similar the peaks and such are for some this season vs. last; last season, we saw some reaching new heights, which was great. But,many, especially the biggies, are not going to get much further, if further at all. The ones that reached 1-4 last season will probably follow suit again. I guess there a few who could contend for top 10 for the first time, though they won't all make it.

I hope this christmas classic can get its deserved top twenty peak this year! Her version of that one will pass 100 million Spotify streams any day now if that makes you feel any better. It will be Mariah's ninth song to hit that level (and her sixth from the 90s). Incredible.

I hope this christmas classic can get its deserved top twenty peak this year! the original Darlene Love version is more deserving and reached #29 this past Christmas.

Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers' "Iris" cover got to #57 on the Hot 100 this week. That's the first Hot 100 entry for either of them. Higher opening sales than positions.

Mariah Carey — 98.7 million 2. Michael Bublé — 94.9 million 3. Darlene Love — 92.0 million Love should (thankfully) surpass Bublé this year, but Mariah’s cover will probably remain the leading version

Higher opening sales than positions. Yet still 56 spots lower. Don't try it. Sure, Phoebe Bridges and Maggie Rogers' careers have less than 1% of the marketing and playlisting budget so that's to be expected.

I don’t see any reason to, unless you want to get eaten alive by myself and the other ari stans they’re comparing the two because it’s impressive that a song that wasn’t available on any major sales OR streaming platforms by two artists that haven’t ever charted sold 38k in a single day, selling more than pop’s apex predator did in a whole week you get sooo spicy soooo easily god

I absolutely love Ariana but you can’t deny that it’s very impressive and slightly funny, I’d hardly say they’re being eaten alive when they said the truth lol

some new Hot 100 peaks based on chart history: #13 - Kings & Queens (+2) It's so close to the top 10!! Ava better promotes the sh*t out of the song again before all these Christmas anthems are ahead of her. Thankfully the radio is eating it up.

“iris” is #122 on Global 200 makes sense that most paid downloads (aka donations to "Fair Fight Action") came from the US. someone abroad would probably rather download it without paying (which was an option) because donating to fight voter suppression in the US might not be their top priority.

Nice era for dua. 3 top 20 hits in her belt this year Not to mention 4 top 10 hits in the UK. I'm so proud of her - the album is great and the single choices have all been top-notch! I wonder how far "Levitating" can go... 🥰
