Man, I was really hoping Blinding Lights could dodge going recurrent. Hopefully Billboard lets it back next week when the Christmas songs disappear I disagree, it's about dang time that song goes recurrent. I like it, but boy has it overstayed its welcome for me.

No way it won't be back in the top 10 next week, though. It's been surging in all categories post-Christmas.

TOTC's 2021 Hot 100 Year-End Predictions: Week 7 Question: How many points is TOTC putting its "locked" threshold at as of now? I ask this because AIWFCIY is now considered locked under their formula even though it has less points than at this time last year, and because the charts are obviously very weak and songs generally won't be able to accumulate the points they did in previous years.

It's precisely because the charts are weak that the cutoff was lowered from 2020's 1,750. If we get a formula change that lowers the divisors or something then it will need to be adjusted.

I can't be the only one completely dumbfounded that Go Crazy is gonna reach a new peak in the top 5 next week.

If it weren't for this stupid 52/25 recurrent rule, Don't Start Now and Circles would be back on the charts.

Getting too close to the New Year's but post this.
Let's all hope 2021 is an improvement on 2020. I'll be satisfied if the US gets out of January without revolution.

If it weren't for this stupid 52/25 recurrent rule, Don't Start Now and Circles would be back on the charts. I just hope Billboard doesn't do Blinding Lights dirty like it did to Sunflower last year. Sunflower was screwed out of several weeks that songs like Only Human, Sucker, and I Don't Care got. It ultimately cost Sunflower a spot on the 2020 Year End chart, as well as a few spots higher on the all-time chart. Blinding Lights was easily supplant Smooth at #2 (and may even challenge The Twist) on Billboard's all-time chart if it is allowed to re-enter. Let's hope Billboard does not mess this up.

Is it too far fetched to think Blinding Lights can end the year in the top 10 again? Itβs still consistent everywhere and even gained in streaming.

I can't wait for The Kid LAROI album bomb to happen. It'll no doubt be one of the worst chart weeks this year

He definitely has the potential, his deluxe version is performing extremely well has sneaked 5 singles into hot100 in a month or so. His tracks are getting good airplays + It's even stable on AM (~top10)

Early prediction: Justin Bieber will have four songs making the 2021 Year-End list. I think "Holy" is pretty much guaranteed, and "Lonely" should be getting locked soon, especially with its rising radio. "Monster" could go both ways, but it's holding up alright on both streaming and radio. And so far, "Anyone" is off to a good start. So yeah, that's a likely prediction - at least these are quite the improvement from his 2020 Year-End tracks.
