Accordino to predictions, Levitating will finally go to the Top 10 on the Hot 100. Am I the only one whoβs excited about that? Why wouldnβt I be excited at my early frontrunner for best year end hit of 2021 hitting the top 10?

Another prediction: Bieber and Drake will collab together to get a cheap number one I realized that they both only hit #1 once each in 2020 after many singles (lead or featured), using some sort of scheme. Even drake needed to do that to get a #1...

Even drake needed to do that to get a #1... I think Drake hit his peak in 2018. Not that he's not gonna be massively successful in the 2020s (he will, at least in the first half of the decade), but it'll be hard to top the massive H-bomb of an album that was Scorpion.

Another prediction: Bieber and Drake will collab together to get a cheap number one I swear, if the rumoured Ariana/Bruno/Post x Drake collaborations for "Certified Lover Boy" end up being Bieber x Drake, I'll be highly disappointed.

I kinda forgot about this a couple of weeks, sorry about that my bad. Will try to be more consistent from here on out.
Potential Repeats from the 2020 Year-End List - Week 7 (January 2, 2021)
Locked Mood
Very Likely All I Want For Christmas Is You Go Crazy Laugh Now Cry Later I Hope
Likely For The Night Dynamite(maybe?? idfk at this point)
Possible WAP
OUT: Blinding Lights (will almost certainly repeat upon likely re-entry), ROCKSTAR (may repeat upon likely re-entry), WHATS POPPIN (may repeat upon likely re-entry)
DISCUSSION: The last week of the Christmas freeze claims three 'victims', most notably the giant itself, "Blinding Lights" by Saturday/Sunday (not that it means much though, of course, since it's pretty much guaranteed to return next week), as well as "ROCKSTAR" by Guy Who Turns People Into Convertibles & 2020 Presidential Candidate Rodrick Ricchard, and also "WHATS POPPIN" by Funniest Man On IG After Freddie Gibbs Got Banned. Speaking of returns, you may notice that the list of potential repeats is beginning to look rather thin at the moment, but don't let that fool you as there will be an onslaught of returning entries next week when the Christmas music gets purged off the charts. Expect to see songs like Savage Love, Before You Go, potentially Adore You and Watermelon Sugar to be added right back onto this list next week. Also don't ask me about the fuckery that's going on with Dynamite, because yeah, I don't know either.

Of all the big-name popstars right now, Bieber is the safest and easiest option for Drake to get a hit - Post, Bruno, and Ariana features don't make for smash hits in the long run, and Bieber is usurping Maroon 5 as the new radio darling. I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner outside of the POPSTAR video.

They need a big name collab that'll not be blocked like that again.

His pre-Grammys interview with Rolling Stone magazine and his last interview with Tmrw magazine. It's supposedly going to be more politically driven, with the events that transpired with BLM last year having a huge influence on the album's theme.

If drake and abel collabs again, that would honestly break the internet. Itβs like Drake x Meek or Drake x Chris but over 100x the power because of OVOXO being a thing since 2011. If anything, this could be what finally stops BL π€£

Seeing that top 10 on the Hot 100 mirroring CHR/Top 40 mainstream hits could it be that 2021 will be a more pop-leaning year than 2020? A POP wave is coming!?

My top hit song of 2020 and my expected top hit song of 2021 are both in the top 10 at the same time. This is a good chart. Also the fact that All I Want for Christmas is still on the chart, let alone in the top 10, even though basically nobody was listening to it after the the first day of the charting week is insane

Seems like there won't be very many repeaters. All the songs that survived in the top 50 through Christmas should be good (Mood, Dynamite, Go Crazy, LNCL, I Hope, For The Night) but beyond that and another appearance of AIWFCIY the only other likely song is Blinding Lights. I just don't see Rockstar, Savage Love or WAP having the legs to stick it out through February and make the year end.
The fact that Lemonade missed the 2020 list due to Billboard's insanity isn't helping matters either.

They have somewhat of a shot, but it really all depends on whether or not they can survive the incoming Drake album bomb, which if it's gonna be anything like the Scorpion album bomb, they probably won't make it.

I still think ROCKSTAR will make the YE, it would be almost in the top 20 if it werenβt for the remaining Christmas songs above it, and it still has some 15-16 weeks before going super-recurrent (which is unlikely, but not impossible). It will probably last until March/April. Savage Love is on the edge, it could make the YE, but itβs a matter of how long itβs able to hold up over the album bombs to come from Morgan Wallen and Drake. WAP isnβt looking super likely to make it at this point. Speaking of Morgan Wallen, More Than My Hometown is another potential repeat for 2021. Itβs getting the album boost on Friday and still has country radio to spare.

Let me add and remove some songs that I believe will make the year end
Added
Anyone- It had good sales and streaming and it might get a radio run.
Good Days- It's becoming a streaming powerhouse and can expect it in the top 10.
willow- The streaming is pretty good and it has radio.
Cry Baby- It might overtake Body in streaming if it didn't already.
Possibly
Afterglow- Who's know what this song? It's streaming is not good, the sales are falling off but the radio can possibly keep it alive.
The Good Ones- There may be a world where Gabby Barrett has two big radio hits. It also has solid sales.
Removed
Heather- Was expecting it to come back sooner or later but it still hasn't.
Dicked Down in Dallas- Grossly overestimated its longevity, its entire run collapsed.

Christmas and New Years have come and gone and some normalcy is returning to the chart. Kinda.
For the week of Jan 9, 2021, here's my estimate/prediction of how the top 100 songs of 2021 currently shape up.
I'm still convinced Mood will hold the top spot here all year. Prove me wrong, 2021!

While break-ups in K-Pop are rare, do you think we'll see a solo hit from one of the members of BTS in the future? RM has a better chance @ making a solo career. J-Hope, same as RM too. SUGA will also collabed with other pop artists, since he had Blueberry Eyes.
