"I Hope" was a big country hit and now has exposure via Top 40 radio, so not sure how anyone can slight it in terms of not being known. That's different from whether people love it right now, but I think it's safe to say many people know it. In the Hot 100, though, the Charlie Puth remix can't be overlooked for it. Without it, I doubt it would have reached the top 5 without the contribution of this version to all the components and gotten the longevity it has achieved. No wonder it continues to be the credited version. Sure, but that's different from whether or not the song is known, which is what I was addressing. The duet helped it become known, but the point is it's known.

Dropouts: - "Adore You" by Harry Styles (#1 peak, 50 weeks) I feel like the performance of this one has been underrated. It looks to have more longevity than "Watermelon Sugar."

Watermelon Sugar will definitely go recurrent in a week or two. It might not manage to reenter the Hot 100 once the holiday songs go back into hibernation.

Watermelon Sugar is most definitely a summer song so it doesnβt surprise me one bit that Adore You had more longevity.

Couldn't help but notice a potential discrepancy on the Hot Rock & Alternative Chart.
"Distance" by Mammoth WVH was at #9 (#25 on Bubbling Under) last week, but seems to have fallen off the chart entirely.
The same song is currently #3 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart, above "Every Time You Leave", which is #41 on the Hot R&A chart. So "Distance" should be there too, but it isn't.
I dunno if im missing something here or what

For anyone interested 22.5 is the streaming # for Megan Thee Stallion's #1 Officially the lowest since August 2016 ("Cold Water") But yeah obviously UGC changes massively contribute to that, it probably had close to 30 million with the old rules.

The title Dis-ease is a play on words where the "disease" is also causing dis-ease aka a lack of ease/discomfort. Ok I realize I'm a little late but I've been gradually reading through this whole thread and reached this post which contains something of a pet peeve of mine. Which is, people pronounce words with prefixes different from their component pieces for so long that they forget the word actually has an etymology and isn't just a random collection of letters. So they think breaking down the syllables and just restating what they mean is a clever pun. Like dude why do you think the term for an affliction derives from "des" and "aise" in Old French and meant "lack of ease; inconvenience" in Old English? They weren't just throwing letters at the wall for fun, there was a idea there to put two words together to form one enhanced meaning. You're not turning the word on its head, you're just saying the word twice in two nearly identical contexts as like a 3rd grade vocabulary flex or something.

If I'm looking at the correct numbers, UGC for Body was around 2 million. So, it would have been around 24.5 million with the old rules.

^It would have gotten about 3.6 million more streams for a total of 25.5 million streams total. Body would probably still have been #1 in Streaming Songs due to more of its streams being on-demand.

Anyway, Is there truth to this? I mean, they make chart predctions so if they have reason to believe so, they're more than likely correct.

Officially the lowest since August 2016 ("Cold Water") But yeah obviously UGC changes massively contribute to that, it probably had close to 30 million with the old rules. If I'm looking at the correct numbers, UGC for Body was around 2 million. So, it would have been around 24.5 million with the old rules. The biggest change for debuts was not removing UGC, but removing logged-out views. It removed ~40% of streams. When calculating streams before, you usually did something like this: On-demand audio + YouTube * 1.1 (the extra 0.1 is non-song UGC) + Programmed Now for "Body" you do this to remove song UGC + logged-out views: On-demand audio + YouTube * 0.575 + Programmed So you can see how much YouTube gets cut out after the change. Also tbf they might not have required a 30 second stream on YouTube before, among some other factors before the change as well. That might also contribute.
