2020 Mid-Year Report: TOP 10 DIGITAL SONG CONSUMPTION 1 “The Box” - 6.058 million (182k sales, 3% of total consumption) 2 “Life Is Good” - 4.248 million (145k sales, 3% of total consumption) 3 “Blinding Lights” - 3.748 million (372k sales, 10% of total consumption) 4 “Say So” - 2.677 million (217k sales, 8% of total consumption) 5."Dance Monkey” - 2.645 million (275k sales, 10% of total consumption) 6. “Savage” - 2.625 million (261k sales, 10% of total consumption) 7. "Don't Start Now” - 2.594 million (204k sales, 8% of total consumption) 8. "Circles” - 2.438 million (214k sales, 9% of total consumption) 9. “Rockstar” - 2.425 million (124k sales, 5% of total consumption) 10. “Roxanne” - 2.362 million (96k sales, 4% of total consumption) And that's before they outruled the not-shipped-for-months bundles boosting some of these songs sales numbers lol. Let's see how lower sales are in the total consumption for hits a year from now. Sales for songs are easily at early 2000s level at irrelevance. I think total digital sales will be the lowest since 2004. Updated total consumption numbers since then from HDD/RIAA: 8.1M The Box 7.0M Life Is Good (RIAA) 6.6M Circles 6.1M Blinding Lights 5.2M Rockstar 4.1M Don't Start Now 4.1M Savage 4.0M Dance Monkey (RIAA) 4.0M Roxanne (RIAA) 3.8M Say So DSN/Savage ruled the year

Let's not act like pure sales are the only thing Willow had going for it though.

Assuming Willow and Dynamite will be out of the conversation, it looks like "Go Crazy" could re-peak in the top 5 after Christmas. Wow.

Fun fact - according to my itunes playlist if you play all 1115 in a row it will take 2.9 days Ha! I also keep a Hot 100 playlist. Why is Olivia Newton-John’s “I Honestly Love You” not available for streaming anymore? Only the 1998 remake with Babyface is still available. ONJ's first three albums were pulled nearly 2 years. So no 'Let Me Be There,' or 'If You Love Me, Let Me Know,' either and some singles from the '80s. I believe ONJ owns the masters for most of her primary albums after that based on the deal she signed last month. Probably the reason why she always had 'partial album' for her various greatest hits on iTunes - though they were on Amazon Music/ Google Play for a time. It's too bad because the songs available reverted to original lower quality sourcing, when they were previously 'Remastered' on a couple of compilations. I'm still hoping for the 'Prisoner (Physical Remix)' in '21 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of 'Physical' hitting #1.

There lies one of the disadvantages of relying on streaming services for these extended playlists

Jose Feliciano has his first top ten record on the hot 100 since 1968, 52 years! His last was a cover of Light My Fire by the Doors.
Is that a record for a living artist?

With its No. 8 Bubbling Under debut, here's hoping that "Linus & Lucy" can eke out a spot in the top 50 next week. The track finished one spot higher than "Christmas Time Is Here" on the streaming chart, though the latter has been performing better on Spotify. "L&L" probably has higher streaming on Amazon and other outlets- and, it's top 20 on Holiday Airplay, so it has the airplay going for it.
Why are people still going on about the No. 1? As previously stated, the Hot 100 measures the best-performing track in a single week- not what track will endure the longest/enjoy the best longevity. Same with the Billboard 200. Fans supported the Swift single enough to get it to the top. It's no different than other past "schemes" (a word which I don't agree with at all- it's marketing, and she and her label; are hardly the first to pull out all the stops for that chart position).

So this is Taylor Swift's 4 time to have all tracks from an album to chart on the Hot 100. She did it with Speak Now, Lover, Folklore and now Evermore. I don't think anyone's ever done it 4 times have they?
In Drake's case, "Jersey" didn't chart from "What A Time To Be Alive", and "Summers Over Interlude" didn't chart from "Views". That means even if you count his mixtapes as albums, he only has Dark Lane Demo Tapes, More Life and Scorpion?
Post Malone only did it with HB and BB&B. Ariana only did it with TUN. Ed Sheeran only did it with Divide (non-deluxe).

Correct me if I'm wrong but all of "Speak Now" didn't chart on the H100 and I don't know about anyone else you mentioned but both "TUN" and "Positions" had all of its tracks chart. Based off this knowledge I do believe she is the female with the most tho (3).

According to Taylor's wikipedia page, all tracks from Speak Now did chart (as well as the 3 bonus tracks), but I believe the standard tracks did not all chart simultaneously like Lover, folklore, and evermore. Yeah, she had 14 tracks charting on Speak Now's release week (including all 3 deluxe tracks). Only 3 songs from the album did not chart on that week - Speak Now, Mean and Back To December. Those charted as promo singles before the album's release (Speak Now for 3 weeks, Back To December for 2 weeks, Mean for 1 week), and then Back To December and Mean returned to the chart again during their run as singles. So Taylor has 4, Drake has 3, Post Malone & Ariana have 2. The Weeknd also has 2 (Starboy & After Hours). There might be a couple others with 2 albums, but I can't think of anyone else that's been big enough for long enough to have 3 or more.

Speaking of 'Beauty Behind the Madness', "Angel" and "As You Are" deserved. Anyways if we include EPs (with enough tracks to chart on the Billboard 200), since all of 'My Dear Melancholy' charted, it would be three projects under The Weeknd's belt that have had all songs chart on the Hot 100.

Just for fun, if we include both of Drake's two track EPs ('Scary Hours' and 'The Best in the World Pack'), then he would have five projects that have had every song chart. Thus putting him in the lead because as we all know, everything is Drake, and Drake is eternal.

Drake's solo song, "30 for 30 Freestyle," along with the 9 other songs him and Future shared co-lead credit with, all charted. I wonder how many songs Drake, Taylor, Ariana and Post Malone have charted from each album they've ever released.
