Any chance "Potential Breakup Song" charts?
It's #20 on US Spotify, Top 75 on Apple Music I think and #1 on iTunes yesterday.
I wonder how high this could've gone if it was released on a Friday

Apparently, the song was supposed to be on Camila's last album before it got replaced with My Oh My. yeah,''anyone'' was removed from romance tracklist the last minute and they replaced it with my oh my. after that it was intended to be a bonus track on the Target Exclusive edition of the album but again they didn't include it as a bonus track.also it was Camila's favourite song and that means the label didn't want it,camila fought for it.. so imagine if justin make it a number one smash .I feel sad for her What did i just see... I swear if JB actually goes to #1 with this song, heβs the true final boss that needs to be stopped in this decade before anything else happens. Roddy where you at π

Love how Bieber is just throwing darts blindly with his singles and hoping one hits.
But Tbh they all do become top 15 hits so it works

This Bieber era feels so forced it's sad. His 2015 comeback was absolutely an event and everyone was impressed by the growth of Justin Bieber throughout his career. Not to mention the singles from that album were truly hits. Nowadays, he is solely relying on radio to maintain his relevance and his recent songs are lackluster and awful.

For most of November he maintained two songs in the Billboard top 20 Streaming chart. I'd hardly say he's being kept alive by radio.

Another reason why I hate the recurrent rule, Circles and Donβt Start Now have enough points to chart next week but wonβt because they already have a year on the chart

Bieber out here smashing with amazing call outs and people are calling him inorganic. Lonely and holy are as organic as it gets. Itβs not like itβs a dua lipa song with horrible call outs but a continuous rise. The fact that 12 years into his career he can get hits like this and the songs he is putting out arenβt even streaming friendly. He hasnβt put out an actual proper pop song in a while. Just because he isnβt the talk of the town and controversial with everything he does, doesnβt make what he is doing any less impressive.

They might be organic, but they are not that loved that radio must play them more than almost any Bieber track before.

How? Streaming is pathetic as usual. Radio freefalling (after having the worst callouts for six weeks). Not even top 20 on itunes, where GP buys from. How long will their stans keep massbuying this on their website?

Dynamite going in and out of the Top 10 reminds me of chart runs for songs in the 90s and 00s. Unless you were a bonafide smash hit, songs would go in and out as well

Billboard.... These BTS stans are gonna continuously play the system if nothing is done. Like rebound to number one is possible with flatlining radio and ok streams but "mystery website Sales" doing 99% of the work like... Cmon. I'm definitely in the "Dynamite is an organic hit" camp but this just leaves such a sour taste in my mouth.

How long will their stans keep massbuying this on their website? I agree. This must be some sick April Fools joke. I really don't believe this person, especially considering he has Blinding Lights at only 170 points, which considering the gains on all metrics this week is virtually impossible, unless it had somewhere around 130-140 points (which would have put it nowhere close to the Top 25, and below songs like Levitating, For The Night, I Hope, Lemonade, and maybe even Dynamite). I'll wait until I see Winston's predictions. They are usually more accurate. But if this guy is right, and Blinding Lights is 'only' at 170 points, I'm worried they may do BL dirty (like they did to Sunflower), and not let it re-enter.

Rumour has it "ANYONE" is produced by Andrew Watt, responsible for "Break My Heart", "Midnight Sky", and "Take What You Want", to name a few. My expectations are quite higher now. π mte, I've heard it's the better Bieber song of recent years

But if this guy is right, and Blinding Lights is 'only' at 170 points, I'm worried they may do BL dirty (like they did to Sunflower), and not let it re-enter. TOTC is not a "person" it's a group of chart predictors who originated from Pulse. And yeah the BL thing was a mistake with YouTube in the spreadsheet from looking at it myself, it has more points, but that's besides the point; TOTC got willow's drop spot on (1-38) in final preds and predicted it to break TROLLZ's record very early on (which TOTC actually predicted spot on very early too). Top 20 was also more accurate than other predictors this week too, but anyways. Every predictor's updated predictions is now putting Dynamite in the top 10 now after seeings its current order numbers which usually reliably predicts D2C. Unless Columbia doesn't bother submitting website sales this week (so Mood goes back to #1) it's 100% locked for top 10/top 5 even, top 2 is very possible. #1 is difficult but not impossible.

lol totc saying all that will fuel more mass buying. The fact that some random chart account that only got created this year can have so much influence on the charts is weird, and highlights everything wrong with website sales. Billboard is so secretive with their formula like we don't already obviously know it and think hiding micro details about the numbers has any impact on stans' ability to effortlessly influence the charts using website sales. They are the essentially the sole reason for every problem with the charts and Billboard not removing them when they removed song UGC for the global charts (which do not include website sales) is so inconsistent; it's only because labels make so much money with website sales that they won't remove them (Dynamite has like over 2M unfiltered sales at this point, not only 1.2M or whatever Nielsen has). The bundles change did go against this revenue-based mindset though, so I guess we'll see if Dynamite repeaking at #1 this week is the "final straw" for website sales on the Hot 100 (hopefully beginning Jan 1 tracking week).

At this point, I may consider switching to the Global 200 and/or the Rolling Stone charts if Billboard doesnβt fix this whole website sales thing by the end of next month. Itβs becoming ridiculous, and while I have no problem with BTS as a group and agree that there is at least some organic traction for Dynamite, Iβm done with this erratic chart run.

It's a little similar to when albums would drop, climb high, drop out, re-enter, etc. when new album redemptions came in. However, that is a different scenario than consumers actively purchasing an item, rather than redeeming copies.

With "Potential Breakup Song" performing the way it is, could we be looking at a new rising trend, of bringing back old music? Christmas staples get bigger and bigger each year, "Dreams" had a huge resurgence thanks to Tik Tok, and Taylor Swift is on the verge of rerealing her catalogue. I can see "Love Story" becoming a hit again, maybe even #1, if she promotes it right. Wouldn't that be something?
I'm all for bringing back old music. Imagine getting some chart justice for old, iconic hits?
