In the past holiday songs started declining at iTunes days before Christmas, which makes sense as why buy a song you will be done with in a day or two? It's interesting how much longer they do well there now, maybe in part because of who still downloads?

I actually liked WLR and thought it was a bold direction for him to go in, but I can't lie, it was the worst possible thing for him to drop at his career peak. It'd be like if Gaga was coming off of The Fame Monster and then dropped ARTPOP. It'll definitely get a cult following within a few years but he will probably never get back the hype he had when the leaks were going off.

So it looks like Cart’s album isn’t dominating AM as much as I was expecting. It’s still penetrating the top part of the charts there, but nearly 24 hours after WLR’s release, Durk has more songs in the top 10 of the AM charts than Carti. Didn’t foresee that, but I guess that’s what you get when a heavily-hyped album gets a mediocre reception at best.

The rules for holiday tracks could change by next year, so no one can predict anything with certainty.

"Rockin..." has kept it pretty close in streaming, given it has no video that gets major views on YouTube (it had 1.85m on the Songs chart last week, 5m+ behind "All I Want...").
