literally ANYONE can be number 1 lol it was a joke. sorry. Anyone who can sell 100k in digital sales (legit or not). Billboard needs to adjust the formula very soon or we'll see even more bizarre number ones this year than Trollz and Life Goes On (yes, it's possible). Last year charts were entertaining with several top 10 debuts and 1 week number ones. I wonder if 2020 turnover rates in the top 10 were fast as in the 80's (exclude Blinding Lights, Circles and a few others). Anyways, I would like a repeat in 2021 and not boring charts that keeps songs long at the top spot. There are several artistes out there who need the chance to shine and if Sales is one of the ways to breakthrough, then yes!!! |

Not that I think there's any truth to that (how do they know it's going to go viral?). But hopefully it's "Don't Start Now" just in time to win ROTY and SOTY at the Grammys. |

It was @ppredictors, an account that makes random predictions for people to react to and potentially manifest into reality. TOTC RT'd the tweet in question from them. There is no guarantee that it will happen.

Since I brought up Blinding Lights making it next year, I just realized how rare it is for a chart topping song to repeat, Shape of You and Rolling in the Deep both did it but the last time it happened before that was Candle in the Wind 1997 in 97/98. Well, it makes sense because to top the year-end chart a song would usually need most or all of its run in that chart year. Pre-streaming it was very difficult for a song to chart for long enough to be a year-end #1 and also get enough weeks in a different chart year to make another year-end list. Having said that, "Gangsta's Paradise" is another example of a song that did it. We'll now see it happen a lot more in the streaming era. |

It's clearly going to be the Beatles coming for their 21st #1 with an incredible remix of "Yellow Submarine" so it can peak higher than #2, like it did in 1966!
The remix will be with....well that would be saying too much. ;)

I get the feeling that Good Days' rise is pretty organic and not really tied to a meme/challenge. Let me know if I'm wrong.
If the song rose into the top 10/20, would this be SZA's first time doing so as a lead artist? I know it's not her first in general because she had that Maroon 5 collab a few years back, as well as the song for the Black Panther soundtrack with Kendrick.

Good Days is gonna have a real nice debut if it keeps up. It was released on 12/25, so it's gonna debut this week (1/9). However, I can see it getting a nice boost the following week, possibly into the top 20, as its streaming has stabilized and the rest of the Christmas music will be leaving. |
