It saddens me, but I’ve just about given up on new solo Faith music ever being released. I think she’s actually gone and retired, without making an announcement like Barbara Mandrell did. I think there must be a behind the scenes reason why Faith walked away from her career like she did. I wonder if we will ever find it out one day. I bet she has an interesting story to tell if she ever wrote an autobiography.

Martina McBride - Greatest Hits: The RCA Years (August 20)
Tracklist (according to Walmart.com): 1. The Time Has Come 2. That's Me 3. My Baby Loves Me 4. Independence Day 5. Where I Used To Have A Heart 6. Life #9 7. Wild Angels 8. Safe In The Arms Of Love 9. Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road 10. Happy Girl 11. A Broken Wing 12. Wrong Again 13. Whatever You Say 14. I Love You 15. Love's The Only House 16. Concrete Angel 17. Blessed 18. When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues 19. Where Would You Be 20. This One's For The Girls 21. How Far 22. In My Daughter's Eyes 23. Anyway 24. Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong Looks to be a vinyl exclusive, at least for now. WalMart has exclusive blue discs, others will have black. Some real questionable decisions were made with this tracklist, imo. It is nice to see them dust off a couple of deeper cuts that never became huge hits, like "That's Me", "Where I Used To Have A Heart", and "Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road"! Also nice to see "The Time Has Come" finally being honored alongside her hits. That being said, no "Valentine", "Still Holding On", "There You Are", "It's My Time", "Ride", "I Just Call You Mine", "God's Will", or "How I Feel"? Those were all top 10/20 hits! I could understand cutting some of those, but the absence of "Valentine", "Ride", and "There You Are" is particularly egregious imo. Hell, if they're trying to honor all of the RCA years, they probably should have thrown on "Rose Garden" too. Timeless is acknowledged in the picture on the album cover, but not reflected in the actual tracklist. I'm excited to see what the liner notes look like, but otherwise this seems like the least exciting way one could possibly celebrate 30 years in the industry

I'm excited to see what the liner notes look like, but otherwise this seems like the least exciting way one could possibly celebrate 30 years in the industry I already pre-ordered my copy of this. Went through Amazon so I won't be getting the blue disc but that is okay. I cannot wait to get this. Do wish it was a box set that included each individual album instead or that it included all of her hits, and I agree there are some glaring omissions. Definitely sad to see "Still Holding On", "Ride", "There You Are", and "It's My Time" missing out. I also agree that "Rose Garden" should have been included as well. Hopefully the liner notes are extensive and are fun to go over. Cannot wait to listen to these songs on vinyl! Am excited at the inclusion of "Cry On The Shoulder of The Road", "The Time Has Come", and "That's Me" though. Would love more to be released on vinyl though cause there are so many great songs from her that I would love on vinyl

The Essential collection would have been great on vinyl and includes some great songs that I wish were included on this vinyl set ("Chances Are", "Trip Around The Sun", "Harper Valley P.T.A.", "How Great Thou Art", and "'Til I Can Make It On My Own") but it is also missing a few that the vinyl set has that I'm glad the vinyl set has ("That's Me", "Where I Used To Have A Heart", "Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road")
Interestingly both sets are missing key songs that I wish were included like "Cheap Whiskey", "Phones Are Ringing All Over Town", "Swinging Doors", "There You Are", and "How I Feel"

Just bizarre, imo.

For You [Barry Knox, David Fanning, Josh McSwain, Matt Thomas & Scott Thomas] Woah full album out of nowhere! While many of their songs are kinda hit or miss, this is exciting. As much as I liked Just The Way, I hope this album has more songs like "Carolina" or "Already Calling You Mine" than "Just The Way". I guess Just The Way was a good choice to regain the momentum on the mainstream radio scene, but I'm ready to hear more country rock sound with strong melody, like those three singles from the first album. Assuming the next radio single will be announced soon, and I saw a song called "Take My Name" was added by one radio station on the last update, so that might be the one.

The Martina album is nice— finally we get to have her songs on vinyl. Although, there are many tracks missing
Cheap Whiskey- Heart Trouble- Phones Are Ringing- Swingin’ Doors- Valentine-Still Holding On- There You Are- It’s My Time- God’s Will- Rose Garden- How I Feel- For These Times. If I’m missing any please let me know. And that mashup of album covers is bad!

Lol @ that lazy cover for the Parmalee album. Also rather random to just randomly drop a new full-length album for them months after the big hype of "Just the Way" has started to fizzle but yet no new single has been announced to promote the new record in any capacity yet, either.

Really excited for the new parmalee album! I actually really enjoyed their last one, they just released the wrong songs as singles, there were better ones on there to choose from imo. That being said it would probably surprise me if they get another big hit like just the way(hope im proven wrong though). I agree that it seems completely out of left field since they had not announced anything for awhile, i figured at some point an ep would be coming so its definitely a pleasant surprise a full album is on the way! I also agree its kind of a lame cover, but im still excited for it nonetheless. Hope i’ll be able to buy it on cd...

My guess is it's been done for awhile and that's why they're able to roll with it.

Also it looks like you forgot the Shine era, which is missing "Ride" and "I Just Call You Mine" :) I agree it will be nice to have most of her big hits on vinyl for the first time!!

Charley Crockett "Music City USA" : September 17 Source: His website and all social media Attachment DeletedTRACK LIST: Honest Fight I Need Your Love The World Just Broke My Heart Are We Lonesome Yet The Foolish Game Round This World Music City USA Just So You Know Lies and Regret I Won’t Cry Smoky Muddy Water 518 Only Game In Town Hanger On Skip A Rope If you don't know Charley, I highly recommend him. He is definitely more Americana/Roots/Folk, but always blends classic country covers in all of his albums. Last years "Welcome to Hard Times" was excellent, and I even liked his tribute album earlier this year to James Hand. I bought tickets to his show locally , which ironically is the night before the album release. I heard he's really good live

I would have loved to have seen "Nice Things" included, too, but I'm happy she's finally releasing her album (six years after her debut album single release - like, what?!?). It's about time.
